He's a bit out there for sure, but theres an endearing quality about him because it all is genuineI like Teddy, hes out of his fuckin mind. Can be too much sometimes but i like him. I read his autobiography, and encourage others to do so.
Historian with a healthy dose of narcissism: Max = Ariel Helwani
Enthusiastic trainer who can break down technique: Teddy = Trevor Whittman
surprised no one has mentioned Big John. Seems like a huge douche but he has been around since the earliest days of MMA and has seen this sport completely evolve from nothing to what it is now
Helwani is a sleaze ball who changes his tone if fighters surround him. Max is alround professional
He's a know it all douche bag. I listen to the weigh in podcast because of Josh. Big John is arrogant, with a slight pro USA narrative. Another good analyst is Luke, but he's a douche
I'm talking about inspiring, MMA commentators don't inspire nor capture the imagination
Helwani and Max both have a sleazy vibe, and they both got worse as they became bigger in the industry. I've been watching Max since the 90s (when boxing was the only sport he covered), so I'm certainly not a hater.Helwani is a sleaze ball who changes his tone if fighters surround him. Max is alround professional
