Yeah Whomever says Khabib has no clue. Also his striking was really good, he showed that against Conor.

And for the record, most one-dimensional fighter is Ryan Hall. Someone who just dives for the ground over and over,...and over even if its not working

It is about fighters who rarely wins fights outside your specialty and when they can't impose their game, they would hardly have a plan B against a well-rounded fighter. Their opponents don't care about anything other than their specialty (this not means they are completely raw in other areas)

Holloway? Poatan? Adesanya? McGregor?

I'm not sure if Merab striking is poor enough to fit him on this class

I could mention Liddell because he rarely used offensively a weapon beyond his striking, his wrestlin was used only to avoid take downs

Liddell however I dont think is one dimensional even though he really only fought standing he had excellent wrestling and used it in his earlier fights. I think Liddell was one of the first Wrestling/Strikers there was that actually came from a kickboxing and wrestling background.

The only one I can really remember was the Pele fight way back in the day. I believe he did a good amount of ground and pound in that fight but im not 100 percent sure. He also took down Shogun I think lol

I disagree. Merab's striking is better than Israel or Poatan's grappling. Did you watch when Izzy and Poatan grappled in their fights? There was better grappling in some 1990s fights.

Never had to even try an alternate approach.

Khabib kind of jabbed his way to victory vs Iaquinta and traded with Conor to prove the irishman had nothing for him tho.

I would also say Holloway should not be included by TS. He grapplefucked Yair.
Conor was also a panic wrestler against Nate Diaz and a Tour de France cyclist in his 2nd fight.

Edit: He might not be the best, as in world champ, but as far as being one-dimensional he is one dimensional as it can get and not able to switch gameplan when it fails, Demian Maia is probably the best at this, most guys that make it to the elite level could be "one dimensional" but they are competent enough to survive or try to keep the fight where they want, Poatan/Adesanya come to mind, average TDD with elite strking.

Didn't Hall beat Maynard by throwing side kicks from a mile away the whole fight?
