who thinks pacquaio would beat maywhether?

I think Mayweather could completely outbox Pacquaio if he goes in there and boxes up to capability he could escape with a decision.

Do I think Pac will beat Mayweather. Probably not, BUT I think Pac has a better chance than anyone.

Like Marquez said in the post fight interview, Pac is a totally different type of fighter.

Marquez is a thinking fighter, a technically savvy fighter, a very orthodox fighter. He stands in front of his opponent rather stationary.

Marquez = great technician.

Pac is southpaw, who darts in and out quickly, firing a bunch of punches from various unusual angles. He is very fast, especially compared to a Marquez who is not getting younger.

Pacquaio = is a buzzsaw.

Styles make fights and I think Floyd will have to adjust his defense as he won't be facing wide left hooks. He'll have to deal with Pac's right hook coming from odd angles mixed with a pretty devastating left hand. And unlike Marquez, who I think could have landed several of his best punches and not have the zap to hurt Floyd, I think Pac CAN hurt Floyd.

Marquez was made to order for Floyd; he's older, clearly slower, could't hurt Floyd with his punches even if he did land them, and is very orthodox. Made to order for Floyd, and the outcome of this fight was really obvious and 100% what I expected when the fight was first announced.

Pac is much quicker, most importantly more unorthodox, and has more power.

I'll say right now I'd say it's 60% Floyd 40% Pac. Mayweather is favorite, but Pac an extremely live underdog.

The only time any of my $$$'s is spent watching that idiot Mayweather is when he fights Pacquiao. I can't wait to see him beat Mayweather to a pulp.
 
He probably could...

If he beats Cotto I give him a great shot.

FreshPrince somtimes I think your the only one on here with any sense. JMM is a counter puncher, Pac is a swamer thats why JMM gave him so many problem and keep in mind those fights were before what I call "Manny's evolution(pre david diaz fights)". JMM lost so bad to PBF because PBF is a better counter puncher so in reality JMM lost at his own game and had nothing else to go to besides just trying and failing to hit PBF. Manny on the other had has a game plan and style which can beat counter punches which is throw everything at them, move, hit hard, press the pace. I believe with every inch of myself Pac will not only win but stop Mayweather if they fight quote me date it and mark it. THE WAR TO BE A LEGEND HAS JUST STARTED.
 
floyd didn't look like he ever left the sport

his defense was as great as its ever been

i'm not sure pacquaio can hit floyd enough to win a fight

before yesterday, i gave pacquaio about a 40% chance of beating mayweather. after last night, i give him about 15%
 
Mayweather over pac via KO. Pac will let his hands go and get KO'd. JMM was reluctant to let his hands go even when mayweather occasionally stop punching and had to KO mayweather just to get the win. Mayweather will neutralize pac speed with great defense and make pac pay for letting his hands go.
 
manny has a shot, he probably as fast, if not faster than mayweather, so there goes that advantage from floyd, but floyds much bigger, good fight, hope it happens.

Well said and I totally agree. Plus, I believe Pac's chin is underrated. For now, all we can do is speculate about the fight but when the fight happens, It will a good day for boxinng. I can't wait.

If Mayweather can keep Pac on the end of his jab he wins an easy decision, if not I think it will be a tough night for Mayweather culminating with a messed up face win or lose.
 
i used to think pac was as quick as mayweather

after this fight, I say no.

marquez had no real problems by pacs speed, against floyd, he couldn't even see the punches.

pac will have big problems against floyd, once floyd figures pac out, i dont think pac can adjust. floyd to me will have height, weight, speed advantage plus superior boxing IQ.
 
Pacquiao has the speed, style and power to give Mayweather all kinds of problems. Anyone with any knowledge will see that. Marquez landed some decent punches on Floyd, and he doesn't have near the speed or power as Pacquaio.

Pacquiao by 8th round destruction.
 
Difference between mayweather and marquez= PACMAN. trust me, pacman will beat mayweather at his own game. pacman has evolved much more of a boxer and roach will train pac-man for a 12 round fight.

Well some people that fit in at #2 or #3 don't admit they fit in at #2 or #3.

Come on man, did you see that paltry percentage that Marquez landed? Well Pacquiao will be landing less than that. He is fast but not any faster than Zab Judah. It is actually Pacquiao that has never faced an opponent that is even comparable to Mayweather. I like how even the most educated fans are calling this one close though. That means this will be a big event for boxing.
 
Marquez is not a poor man's PBF. Not at all.

He is a solid counter puncher, but he is not a defensive master at all. Just because he has better defense than Pac doesn't mean he's anything like PBF.

JMM is an aggressive fighter who leaves himself open when he decides to abandon the counter punching. This is why Pac dropped him 4 times in 2 fights, and why Barrera dropped him as well. Juan Diaz actually had Marquez in trouble several times, and Diaz isn't very fast nor does he have immense power. Before getting stopped, Diaz had actually landed more solid power punches than Pac did. Why? Styles make fights. This is a toss up.

PBF is arrogant and stubborn, and doesn't change one bit when fighting southpaws. He made elementary mistakes against Judah, and his glove actually touched the canvas in the very first round as a result.
