I simple fail to see how anyone who watched Marquez Pacquiao I and II, and then watched this fight, could possibly claim Pacquiao is the favorite

i said that i don't think pacquaio has a chance.


i said i was doubtfull that he could win and that was before i saw this fight.


but now that i saw how one sided this fight was with jmm, and how much trouble pacman had with jmm this would be easy for mayweather.


but again you could say that pacman destroyed both oscar and de la hoya in a much more devastating fashion than jr

well floyds style is made to embarrass marquez, he can beat him on the outside, pac couldnt he lacks the physical tools and style to do so. Because floyd can beat marquez on the outside he forces him to come forward and pot shots him all night, when marquez tries to lure floyd in he pot shots him with his superior reach+speed+height+foot movement.

Marquez is a counter puncher, and last night he faced THE counter puncher. It was just a bad match up overall. I feel bad for people who paid for that crap.

pbf is the fave but that doesnt mean pac wouldnt be able to beat him. if jmm could land a few shots on pbf "maybe" pac could also. pac wasnt also supposed to beat odlh and hatton. looking forward for this fight.

Pac is faster than Mayweather and he seems to just be getting better as he moves up, Marquez never even fouight above 135, Pac on the otherhand thrashed DLH and Hatton at 147 and 140 way worse than Mayweather did. DLH could barely even touch Pac and got stopped, Hatton has been in with the best and he couldn't time Pac at all. The thing with those fights is it just wasn't Pac's power and agression, it was his speed that they couldn't adjust to. Mayweather still has incredibly fast hooks but noone in boxing can throw a 1 2 as fast as Pac, plus he's a southpaw.

He'll beat Cotto too, I doubt it'll look much different than the Hatton fight. Way too much speed and power and Cotto's way too hitabble with straights. Him winning a close decision over Mosley doesn't mean much, Mosley is fast, but he throws a look of hooks and looping punches, Pac comes right up the middle with very short and accurate shots, Cotto won't be able to avoid the straight left and Pac can dart in and out faster than anyone, his legs have springs in them. Pac is gonna light Cotto up like a christmas tree abnd he'll take very little damage doing so.

The problem is JMM is a counter puncher and PBF is a also counter puncher. PBF stick to plan in countering JMM and JMM tends to be aggressor thats why his skills while backing up doesnt work with PBF while it work against pacquiao because Pac is an aggressor and I think really PBF looks solid. He has really good defense. But telling everybody that Pac cant beat PBF is BS. Different fighters different styles different matchups. I think its a 50-50 situation.

One thing when Marquez cornered PBF he doesnt throw a lot of combinations while I think Pacquiao could do more damage because he tends to throw a lot of fast and powerful punches rather than JMM.

JMM and Mayweather are similar. JMM gave Pac issues, Mayweather is on another planet compared to JMM. Should be natural to think Floyd would give Pac those same issues and then some.

Last night Marquez, a counter puncher, tried to attack. Pacquiao attacks much better than Marquez, and he's much faster, and hits harder. Pacquiao would fair better than Marquez did.

Mayweather's timing and his ability to bend and curve his left hook when thrown is frightening. Pacquiao is fast, pacquiao does have good footwork, and he does have good upperbody movement, but God damn is he going to pay for it if he comes in sloppy. Pacquiao has the ability to rush mayweather and hit him, but I don't know if he is capable of staying the pocket and do the clinch, up close work necessary to nullify mayweather's counter game. When your dart in and out like Pacman does, Mayweather has more and more chances of countering as he comes in.

Watching Mayweather on the 40 foot HD screen at the theater, I got a better idea about how fast Mayweather really is. Even when he would flinch, it was ridiculous. I'd still pay to see Mayweather vs Pacquiao, but I want to see Mosley first. I'd even like to see Mayweather vs Pavlik.
