Who is the smallest fighter that you think could beat a UFC heavyweight?

I'm not following. It was well known Hughes bullied big Tim in the gym, are you saying he didn't?
Yes, I'm saying that. Google only says that Tim admired him and Hughes was mean to him because he was fat. That's it.
My first post in this thread was this, context matters:

if the heavyweight is one of these I'm just sort of ok at everything, middling power, and suspect cardio heavyweights then said heavyweight is going to get handled by elite smaller guys. End of story.
Then, are you saying that Matt Hughes would have handled Tim Sylvia if they had fought in the UFC? Say it, little man. Come on.

Conor, his fist is the size of a melon. <45>

I could see a top tier wrestler like Cejudo definitely working over a few HW's if he was able to grab hold of them.

Cejudo would be used as a backpack.

Either of these.

I could see this ending up in Power Slap somehow.

It's just the striking that makes it a free for all. Alot of really good small guys beat big guys in training all of the time. But bigger fighters ability to absorb and deal damage typically triumphs.

Derrick Lewis would KO usman 9/10 times most likely with the first solid blows he landed... but I bet if they were training Kamara would give it to him at 60%.

Roy jones went from 154 as a pro up to heavyweight fighting a belt holder champion while weighing 193 vs 226.
Although Jones said that was with food and stuff. Weighing from 189 to 193

Ufc welterweights fight night weight is 190, some up to 200(Hendricks, Thiago 198)
So outside of training camp, some could easily be a fit 210 - 220 and a fat 230-240
Considering the worst heavyweights often also are fat...

The question is which lightweight could do it or lower.

Dearest Fatboy, Prime Hughes would have worked Sylvia. 100%. Timmy was terrible against someone not old and slow. Money says you were the fat kid in the HS wrestling room getting worked by 140 pounders. Lol.

I absolutely believe this. Most big dudes stink at MMA, generally have bad cardio, and generally don't like to grapple. Remember I'm referencing heavyweights who aren't at the top of the heap. My first post was very clear in that regard.

You believe what exactly?
If we matched up the top10 ranked LW-WWs vs the 10 lowest ranked HWs, if you actually think the latter would be the underdogs you need to get a grip.
You could figure out some match up where the LW-WW has the better chance, exceptions to the rule.
Below LW, not even that. Not vs a UFC HW.

However, if the heavyweight is one of these I'm just sort of ok at everything, middling power, and suspect cardio heavyweights then said heavyweight is going to get handled by elite smaller guys

If has a spot in the UFC roster, is a HW with ok enough skill and power to handle LW-WWs. Odds would attest for that in the aforementioned match ups

End of story.

:eek::eek:

Any heavyweight who lacks at least one elite martial art would be in trouble against many lightweights and welterweights.

Fedor's sambo would break those same guys.

This theory about the "elite martial art" is pretty weak, talking about a pro MMA fight in 2023.

There was a guy in this same thread saying Cejudo could beat Blagoi Ivanov, the world Sambo champion who beat Fedor in the semi-finals in 2008
A "fat" guy btw. Just as fat average

Is that credited enough in a "single martial mart" for you to favour him over LWs?
Blagoi who btw is not even ranked in UFC at the moment.

.

I'm not stuttering and my grip is just fine. I'm 100% taking Matt Hughes, Usman, Khamzat, Khabib, Islam, Poirier, etc., etc. etc. against the lowest tier of UFC, Bellator, or One heavyweights. Obviously fighting at their walk weight and I'm only talking the elite guys at the smaller weights vs the lowest tier of heavyweights. Not hidden gem heavyweights either or ones who are decorated wreslters. You can't read and border on retarded. I completely believe elite lighter fighters are massively better than low tier heavyweights in every single possible way you can imagine. I can't be more clear. I do not regard their mass as any sort of impediment. Most low tier heavyweights really really really stink. Did I mention they stink? Lets take it a step furhter. WTF is Gane going to do to Khabib? Nothing, thats what.

Something seemed off with you since your initial post with that "elite martial art" textbook sherbro BS, then the Hughes Sylvia training room stories you once read over the internet and now going full retard

This thread has exposed a collection of :eek::eek::eek: that desperately need to get a grip, and not exactly white belts which is the scary thing

You've never grappled or even competed in HS folk style wrestling and it shows. If you had you couldn't possibly this naïve as to think low level fat heavyweights trump skill so dramatically. It simply doesn't. Yes, I train BJJ regularly and have coached HS wrestling for years now. You have it backwards but you don't know what it is you don't know. Please go to a gym and train, then and only then, will you will get it.

Disgusting pretending from a guy who claims Gane has nothing for Khabib, or Sylvia for Matt Hughes.

"low level fat heavyweight is Gane uh? The "fat" HW who beat undefeated Fedor in Sambo is what? He is unranked at HW at the moment

We are not talking about boxing, nor BJJ nor HS wrestling. You need to get a fucking grip and start by cutting the pretending you are not fooling anybody

Gane is a horrific wrestler. Khabib, Khamzat, Bo Nickal. Take your pick. They all work him over. Tough to drag him down but once down it would be over. You seem.... troubled. Mentally unstable even.

Bo Nickal would be favoured in a cage fight with Gane too?
Tell me more. Please make a thread about it I would applaud sherdog's laughing stock maybe even gets sticked

You are in a mma forum since 2009 with this absurd out of touch with reality. I'd say you are the one in trouble. take care

People are over-rating size.

DC wrestled at 184 lbs in college, and I consider him the 3rd best HW ever.
Rumble won multiple UFC fights at 170 lbs, and I consider him the 7th best LHW ever.

What does that have to do with the topic. People can change their body weight.

Why are you comparing 2 different sports?
