Who is the brazillian MMA GOAT?

Anderson, Aldo and Nunes then everyone else is a distant 4th, etc. No one else from Brazil had the sustained dominance of Anderson and Aldo in their prime on the mens side.

José Aldo- 29-7
9 title defenses

Anderson Silva- 34-11

Royce Gracie

the thing about Brazilian greats like Aldo, Silva, Lyoto, Shogun etc they stay going for too long and get a load of embarrassing loses.

Because of this hasn't happened to Amanda yet, and because she is so dominant, you would have to say Nunes.

Anderson would be the most likely right answer. For me when I look at it personally I think Big Nog is a treasured Brazilian legend. The dude did it all and in the eyes of Brazilians he is so respected. Maybe not the exact depth of resume like Aldo or Anderson.

What about Aldo?
I think Anderson did more, but Aldo is 2nd. I put finishing (not just beating)
Franklin (then MW champ) twice
prime Hendo
Belfort
Chael (twice)

over beating Edgar and Mendes a couple of times each. The majority of Aldo's wins were by decision, too.

GOAT is career spanning, so incorporates wins and losses.
Nobody cares that Tom Brady failed to win the Super Bowl 13 of the 20 years he's played. All anyone cares about is that he's won the Super Bowl 7 times and he's the unequivocal GOAT of the NFL because of it.

Don't worry about the losses, they take care of themselves. When you lose a fight you already failed to gain another win. You don't need to start counting up losses on top of the failing to add to your win column too.

Anderson Silva with Aldo in a distant second. Everyone else isn’t even close.

Anderson, Big Nog, Wandy, and everybody else.

I don't have a problem with putting Anderson over Aldo, but I think you're really selling Jose short with that description. First off, Mike Brown and Urijah Faber were as legit as it gets when Aldo fought them. Also, in his 10 championship fights before Conor, his lowest tier opponents were Manny and Hominick. Compare that to Leites, Lutter, and Cote from Anderson. I'm gonna go ahead and say that Aldo wins a strength of schedule comparison even without the big name value of Sakurai, Hendo, and Franklin.

Like I said, though, I'm fine with saying Anderson is greater overall considering how much less competitive most of his fights were.

No doubt Aldo's pre-UFC days were more impressive than Anderson's. That said, Faber was more of a true BW and Mike Brown was in his mid-30s by the time he fought Aldo--which is quite old for the lighter weight classes. Brown's lackluster UFC run showed this as well. I'd also say that Leites and Lutter (particularly Leites) were good fighters and a bit underrated. And while people often dismiss the fight, Anderson destroyed Forrest who was the #4 ranked LHW at the time and had relatively recent wins over Rampage and Shogun.

Rickson. And it's not even close.

400-1 is hard to beat, though if we call Frank Dux an honorary Brazilian he has an impressive 339-0 record.

While I appreciate some diversity in the shit threads on here

Are you retarded?
Anderson
And you know that.

King of the Streets!

I love old school NHB but Ruas was never clearly the best fighter. Oleg Taktarov, a very small HW who would probably be a MW now beat Ruas once and also had a draw with him. Also, Ruas for whatever reason didn't fight a lot of the best fighters of his era: Dan Severn, Ken Shamrock, Don Frye, Bas Rutten, etc. It's hard to gauge how elite he was when he mostly fought opponents like Jennum and Varelens. Tank Abbott destroyed both of those guys as well.

Machida.

AS said Machida was better than him and AS went up to LHW to fight Forrest, Bonnar and Irvin but not the top guys Machida was competing with. AS didn't have the era named for him.
