was there ever a fight in UFC that everyone wanted to see but way too much time past and fans just didn't care anymore?

I feel like GSP vs Silva would be it. During the times when they were active, this was the fight everyone wanted to see. Now, it's still intriguing but it's just not the same.

Same goes for Aldo vs Pettis

Well wand/chuck applies more since they eventually did fight

This. That fight was fantastic, but it should have happened when they were both champions. Had the potential to be the biggest fight in the history of the sport.

McGregor is the Mayweather as in that he's the one that brings in the money and everyone wants to fight. He also gets to pick and choose his opponents.

Faber vs. Kid about 10 years ago when they were both in their primes and laying waste to their divisions.

Aldo v Pettis isn't anywhere near GSP/Silva. I still want to see GSP/Silva. Aldo v Pettis seems like a mismatch now.

Fans didn't care about the best selling PPV of all time? People cared about Pac vs Mayweather.

bj penn vs gsp, down to the very last drop, including one guy retiring at the top.

It's hard for there to be a similar situation in the UFC, if you have two dominant fighters who fight at the same weight they are going to fight each other. There's not going to be a situation where they go 5 years on top at the same time and not face each other. The only exception is "super-fights" with champions in different weight classes but that doesn't happen.

Tito vs Dana

Im not really too into WMMA but this fight I think would be huge Ronda vs Cyborg

the interviewers compare it to May/Pac of MMA (toward the end @ 4:05 when asked what to expect with a fight with Ronda, "violence... Violent")

Frankie vs Conor. When it eventually happens it's going to far overdue.

I dont know wtf you are talking about...

manny/floyd was fucking epic. Its the opposite of "fans didn't care anymore"

UFC isn't set up for those giant fights. It can't be that epic because whole countries don't get behind fighters like they do boxing.

do...not...say....conor....and....ireland......

If Frankie beats Aldo
It could be Frankie vs Conor
