Donald Trump’s allies, supporters and donors, led by Elon Musk, push to end tariff war

From media talking heads to multibillionaire GOP donors, critics of Trump's 'Liberation Day' stunt run far and wide

that $500 clothing bill is gonna wind up costing you over $1000 if it's coming from china. what's it at now? over 100%? oh you sweet summer child, companies are not in business just to lose money. they're not going to be soaking up the costs of the tarriffs just to appease your dearly beloved fraudster and rapist. they are going to be passing it on to you.

It's already coming from China, vietnam or thailand moron that's why I specifically said I'm happy to pay more for products made in country

of you? mines may not always be a great option but going to school never hurts.

Aw nu mi phoen ortocorrekt r u OK?

And gleefully spreading chinese propaganda. Man, you have really lost your way.

It's pretty fucking funny though.

PS still rooting for the US to 'win' in this tariff battle against China

Elon needs to stay in his lane. Trump knows the China needs the U.S. market more and they will be the ones that need to back down first and seek a deal if America stays firm. The problem is the American people can't take as much pain especially when most of the media is working against Trump which gives the edge to China who can control any dissent. It's a shame Trump isn't a dictator with unlimited power because if he was I'd be 100% confident he would win this standoff and the long run end result for America would be well worth a bit of short term pain.

Brilliant take. Brilliant.

Brilliant take. Brilliant.

Thanks. :)

Just seen China are banning Hollywood films in retaliation lol.
Punishing the crowd that hates Trump to get back at Trump is an interesting tactic.
Will Hollywood stop pandering to China now?

Lol I been saying for 20 years to bring this work back to the US. Anyone who understands the supply chain knows this fact. You cannot take this work back in a few days.

I was saying we need to boost spending on automation and steel an aluminum mills in 2014. I remember when Bernie Sanders appeared at a foundry an did a townhall across from the One that was shutdown.

It costs billions to modify an turn on a factory. It was estimated it would take 7 years per factory. Fox did this to hit Democrats but Trump did zero to push towards restoring these factories.

China pays attention an made sure they had the capacity to answer the call. They have the only foundry that can make a drive shafts for the largest diesel motors.

Biden turned his attention to chip manufacturing. But left foundry capacity off.
not foundry space big mistake.

made in what country? is that autocorrect auto-deleting words again? god damn that autocorrect. maybe one day it will be able to form a coherent sentence. just not today i guess.

but you're right. you will be paying more for your products. and you will be happy because tuck tuck and ben ben told you to be. never before will your wallet have felt so liberated from its money. just like elon and benny johnson said, losing your money is a good thing. so you will be clapping like a seal while you get bent over and take it with no lube. and as long as you get some mean tweets out of it and your orange messiah tells you to put a smile on your face while he fucks you then it will all be worth it. tarriff me harder daddy!

Aw nu mi phoen ortocorrekt r u OK?

your "autocorrect" cannot form a sentence within the english language? and is the word "if" not a word? maybe you should buy an american phone. or maybe apple and samsung will be putting their factories on a barge and bringing their business to the states instead of simply just charging americans twice as much for their phones teehee!

matter of fact, let's get rid of all them chinese slave goods. have every chinese company take their business to america where they will have to pay their workers a living wage. you said you don't mind paying more for american goods so i'm sure it won't be an issue when they have to jack up the prices for your goods to make up for their jacked up cost of labor and materials.

Nobody will be able to answer you. None of this makes any sense beyond Trump hoping to try and get China to concede to US demands by any means possible. Trump is likely wanting to get immediate results before it goes any further where reality will kick in for the average consumer

I thought maybe he could give "cash back" for USA made goods.
Like, the tariffs collect from imported cars were given the Ford or GMC buyers.
I dunno, who am I?

Tarrifs sadly are Trumps Taj Mahal 2.0 . He wont listen to reason no matter what.

I understand going at China not the rest of world AT SAME TIME.

That's not even burning bridges behind you. That's burning bridges before you even get to the river. I just cant make sense of this and I have tried.
