I never minded Mike Goldberg, I learnt to tune him out. As far as amazing commentary teams I loved the way PrideFC had it with Mauro Ranallo and Bas Rutten, GOAT commentary duo IMO, as far as trios are concerned I loved Showtime putting Frank Shamrock, Pat Miletich and Mauro Ranallo together when doing the big Strikeforce events, that was a great trio.

Mauro is just a shitty version of Goldie with a better voice. He's like the announcer of a crazy Japanese gameshow but speaks English.

He is nothing like Goldy. Dude actually know what he is talking about. His main issue is the one liners thing gets REALLY old,same with Schiavello. They are both good commentators but this show isnt about THEM ,so stop w the fuckin jokes.

Not saying I don't like him or anything, he's solid for color, but that's not what Goldie is there for and when Mauro tries to do the jobs Goldie does he's just not as good. Schiavello is one of my favs.

Mauro takes too long to spit shit out,and hogs up the air time. Thats my other criticism. I love Schiavello,but i wish hed stop with the one liners. We've heard em all a million times I dont mind the big kabosh/goodnight irene but thats it

Anik is way better at the job, technically speaking. But better isn't always better, I'd take Goldberg back with open arms

Goldberg has genuine love and passion for the sport, even if he was a bit stupid at times. I'll take that a million times over Jon Anik in a robotic voice talking about fighters going through fucking custody battles.
