Who is left for Jones if he gets by Reyes?

Let me start by saying that you NEVER really clean up a division. Because all fighters are fighting and the next #1 contender will deserve a title shot, regardless if they already lost to Jon or not.

But Thiago Santos deserves a rematch.
He got a split decision loss to Jon with TWO bad knees!!!

It is impossible to claim that "jon already beat him". Heck it was not even a convincing win IMO.

so he should (at least) rematch him
 
No exciting match ups in the near future. But I guess Anderson/Blachowicz winner, Santos rematch, Volkan, maybe Rakic? He’s got some things to do even if they’re not particularly enticing match ups.

Volkan if he gets his power hand fixed. He lost his most valuable tool and he's been fighting one-handed since the Manuva fight.

If the "No Time" returns, I believe he has a significant chance.

Not really sure he has had a need to until now. I know people have been asking for it for a while but there was always a next fight afterwards.

Now not so much.

Read those threads. First page of each is basically filled with people laughing it off. Although the Santos fans were a lot more legit with their predictions than most of Sherdog gave them credit for.

I think he beats Reyes, beats Cory, and then just starts recycling through opponents. Fighting guys hes already dominated again while never stepping foot at HW. racking up title defenses.

lol jones has been talking about going up for 6 years and hasn’t done it, Izzy just won the title and is ALREADY calling out Jones and saying Jones can’t run from him

Smith and Santos aren’t even LHW’s , he’s been out of legitimate competition for years outside of the DC fights, and still refuses to go up
