I just moved to Ontario. I am from Washington state originally. Then I moved to BC. Now my work has me here in niagra falls. Very beautiful place.

Anyone have any suggestion as to what places to visit?

Born and raised. As for where to go, really depends on your interests I guess.

I'm at work right now in Niagara Falls :) What's your interests? It's a great golf region with a great disc golf course too if your into that. There is some great fishing in Lake Ontario but I prefer Erie. There is a lot of shore fishing opportunities too. Or for some real entertainment take a drive into Welland (but really don't lol).

My other thought is you can come to the casino's and help pay my wages LOL....

If fishing is your thing come see me on lake Simcoe, Ice fishing capital of Ontario.

Currently in Singapore for work, but from Kitchener, Ontario.

Cool to see fellow Ontarians on Sherdog.

There are a lot of cool things in Niagara Falls. I'd recommend one of those stone oven pizza places they're known for.

I practically grew up on a boat on Simcoe. Or playing at Innisfil Beach park. My grandma lived in Stroud and I still have a lot of family in Barrie. One of my biggest regrets moving to the Niagara Region is rarely getting out to Simcoe anymore. It used to be that my freezer had Simcoe perch in it year round. I miss those days.

The fishing was one of my primary motivations for moving here, I'm over on the south east side of the lake.

Agreed. Just to name a few. Some are better to see in the Summer.

You could got to Casa Loma in Toronto, the Royal Ontario Museum, the Salt Mines in Goderich, Algonquin Park, see the big Nickel in Sudbury.

kitchener for me to! but living in Guelph now.

There's lot to do i Niagra Falls, not so much during winter though. unless you're a ski/snowboarder. then i'd suggest going to ellicottville to holiday valley. Only a couple hours from the falls for quality hills.

If you like the outdoors, head north. Far North, I recommend the Timmins area.

My favorite fishing on Simcoe would be the ice out perchin up near Orillia. There's a little island called grape island about 5 minutes from the launch. No need to go any further then that. Memories.

I spent a lot of time there too. My family used to own a hunting and fishing lodge just outside of Matheson.

Temiskaming Shores has some great fishing also. I would suggest Kenora or Thunder Bay although it's a big mission to get there.
