Who here is still Catholic??

TS, I fail to see how you lose. If you care that much about getting removed, go through the motions and stop being a bitch. I can't believe you're complaining about a priest taking the time to make a physical visit at someone's home because he is concerned about their salvation. What an ungrateful, cynical shit you are. What can a priest possibly be getting out having your sorry ass name on some role sheet that is worth wasting a day of his life visiting you? Unbelievable what people will bitch about.

Based on what?
Oh I was just saying, I thought it was a public concensus he did. I have no idea as to the details of the stuff. After reading below, I guess he didnt?

The kid who accused MJ of molesting him came out and admitted that he was never molested and that he was forced by his dad to lie about it for a fat payout.
The dad killed himself shortly after the kid came out with this information. Money talks. And karmas a bitch.

How come Catholics act less Christlike than Protestants? I feel like Catholicism is way more strict and intrusive with confession and the super serious mass. Haha, it's a theological question I'm asking, I guess

how do catholics act less christianlike than protestants? Both sides have made plenty of mistakes in the past.

of course catholicism is more strict and old fashioned. protestant religions like the church of england specifically broke off for that reason (king of england wanted a divorce, pope said no, king made his own church).

As for confession, I absolutely love it. Yeah its a little unnerving at first, but once you get it off your chest you feel so much better about everything. and like a priest once told me: you don't go to confession just to be absolved of sin. praying for God's forgiveness will do that by itself. rather, confession is a means of humbling yourself by verbally speaking the words and having a confidant. think about it, when you were a kid and did shitty things to your parents and were sorry for it, did you just think you were sorry or did you go and actually tell them. if you told them, and said i love you or something like that, of course they would get over it instantly. where as if you kept it in your mind and acted like nothing would happen, your parents would still know you were sorry, but not have the kind words said to them like they do in the first instance.

In their behavior? Or are you saying that Catholicism is less Christian like than Protestantism?

All good then, wasn't going to start bashing you with facts unless you kept asserting that MJ molested anybody. Everybody is misinformed sometimes.

I meant in behavior, I suppose. Most Catholics I know are more free willed and you can't even tell they're religious. But my Protestant friends (conservative) are much more "controlled" in their demeanor and aware of the Jesus correlation in their lives. Maybe my demographic is too specific for people to understand, haha

thanks to you and new mexico for the facts. sweet how we can have days and days of coverage slandering an icon's name, but hardly any coverage when it proves to be false.

i take it you mean in the ways catholics are boozers and the rep catholic school girls have, etc?

you might not be one to talk.

you were baptized. that the fuck do you think that means dude

you want to get out of the catholic church go get excommunicated

come on brad, use that big brain of yours, you a smart motherfucker

well thank you I guess, Finally the recognition I've been waiting for all this time

So is being catholic... Like you said, you can unregister, its just an annoying process. Which as New Mexico says, is a problem only because of the policy your country has in place. If thats how airtime and money is doled out, I would expect several religions like to make it as hard as difficult to unsubscribe.

I never accused you of linking church and state. I was just confused as to how this happens if church and state AREN'T linked. Are you telling me there is a government database linked with the catholic registry or something? I mean I would understand if they did the taxes through census results, that would be a logical linking. I am asking how the two get linked. How does the government know your ID # falls under a certain religion?

they don't i think, it's not like they know who exactly is a member, just how many members there are

Those raised catholic women are the dirtiest.. It's anal time within two dates.

People who convert to a religion tend to have the strongest faith, it was strong enough for them to change their life afterall.
Because catholicism is more widespread and older, you will get more "cultural catholics" whos family has been catholic for many generations but they don't really act like good catholics.

Post-confession feeling is really one of the best feelings :D
the act of telling your most shameful acts and secrets to another person which is so hard to do though. I havent been for 2 years.

you're absolutely right, didn't think of it that way

sleepwalk is still Catholic. A little streaky on getting to Mass most Sundays, though.

Yes it tends to be the case. I noticed this when I lived in Singapore, there isn't a long history of any Christianity there, so most of those Catholics and other christians are either converts or the children of converts.
From what I experienced - they know and practice their faith so much more thoroughly than the Catholics where I'm from (England) which is mostly Irish families who've been Catholic for centuries.

Don't want to offend but it seems to be a trend that a high proportion of Muslim extremists are converts too.
