I'll pray for you TS and the rest of you heathens.
Yes it tends to be the case. I noticed this when I lived in Singapore, there isn't a long history of any Christianity there, so most of those Catholics and other christians are either converts or the children of converts.
From what I experienced - they know and practice their faith so much more thoroughly than the Catholics where I'm from (England) which is mostly Irish families who've been Catholic for centuries.
Don't want to offend but it seems to be a trend that a high proportion of Muslim extremists are converts too.
I agree with you to an extent, but still from personal experience I'd say that the catholic church is much more moderate than a whole lot of other Christian religions.
OH YEAH.
It's because the magisterium isn't radical. It's pretty moderate and often progressive to be honest.
I have a soft spot for Catholicism. Most of my favorite thinker are Catholic, and the theological umbrella is so big that there is a lot there for everyone.
Hmm, most of my favourite thinkers are secular

Seems to be true. Pretty big divide in the U.S. between Catholic places up north like New York and Boston and the South with their whole Jesus on a T-Rex thing or whatever going on.
I'm getting married next year, but I got my gf to resign from church too*. Having some weirdo talk about Yahweh would just make the whole ceremony awkward imo.Lol I just had the complete opposite experience. Im getting married at the end of the year so my fiance and I tried to register at a nearby catholic church. They ignored the first request then after leaving about 20 messages they finally tell us that we cant register because we are in another church's area.
yesterday on the news:
signing out of the catholic church should be easier
no joke
