Who has more potential Michael Morales or Carlos Prates?

Both guys are on win streaks since joining the UFC respectively and I feel like they're both bound to face one another some day but matching them up now would be stupid. I think Prates should fight Geoff Neal and Micahel Morales should fight Ian Garry. Both have finish wins over Trevin Giles and Neil Magny respectively but personally feel Morales has a more well rounded game and has more potential to be a contender/champion although Prates is very good. Who do you think is the better prospect?

Michael Morales has shown a more well rounded skillset but Prates is clearly a better striker with more KO power, I think Morales is the better fighter overall though

Prates is a throwback fighter, a specialist and a violent, violent man. When you've got Muay Thai written across your chest, you're there to hurt people.

That said, while Prates has undoubted killer instinct and is there to make clear who is the better fighter, Morales is much more well rounded, as far as we know. Michael is also only 25, and Prates in already in his 30s. We are at a point where we are gonna know about Prates very quickly, bc he's already probably as good a fighter as he will be, but Morales has a lot of years to go. If he's progressing by leaps and bounds, and doing big things before he's 30, we probably have our answer.

Morales has a higher ceiling due to age. Prates is a wily vet at this point and hard to count out against anyone.

Morales future is bright imo he's 25 and already in the top 15.

If he continues to improve he could legit be ranked there for 10-12 more years.

In 5 years, prates could be washed and morales could be entering his prime. So it's all just an age thing. Morales is talented, young and made it to ranking quicker (earlier in his career) also undefeated will be easier to market him for the "right fights"

Carlos Prates is going to deliver us some masterpieces with the last 3 or so years of his prime, so I'd say him in terms of entertainment, he will also probably hold the title at some point before he's done

But Morales being only 25 especially in a weight class above 155 just means he has all the time in the world

Let not take anything away from Carlos, let him keep doing what he’s doing, his rise will be faster, much more exciting

This Morales dude will have his time, let him keep sniping vets and make a slower crawl to the top
