Figured for a change I'd get the ball rolling for Gibster, Jon and the other fellas relating to match making for this past week's event!

Klaudia Sygula vs. Dariya Zheleznyakova - Personally think Klaudia looked a little under sized for the weight but then her opponent did miss weight which probably doesn't help. Both women are coming off stoppage losses. I think this is a suitable rematch for the pair.

Melissa Mullins vs. Joselyne Edwards - Each woman is coming off a win. A win marred by a weight miss on both counts. I think this is a solid next step for the pair if the UFC opts to resign Mullins.

Antonio Trócoli - Cut - Personally don't think Trocoli seems to be UFC caliber. If they do opt to give him another fight. Wouldn't be surprised if he's even given an unbeaten prospect or a loser leaves town clash with someone like Ihor Poteira.

Tresean Gore vs. Ryan Loder - Impressive finish there for Gore. I think he would make a solid next step for our most recent ultimate fighter winner Ryan Loder.

Cody Stamann - Cut - He's a decent fighter who has had some solid showings. But he's on a 3 fight losing streak and has only won twice in his last eight fights.

Da’Mon Blackshear vs. Cody Gibson - Great win for Blackshear to get back on the winning track. I think Cody Gibson who won last week would be a solid next step for him.

Matthew Semelsberger - Cut - 4 fight losing streak says that is it.

Charlie Radtke vs. Sam Patterson - Nice return to form for Radtke. I think a fight with Patterson in his next bout is a good next step for both men.

Zach Scroggin vs. Nikolay Veretennikov - Both men lost their UFC debuts. I think this is a good next step.

Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos vs. Nicolas Dalby - Good win for Zaleski. I'd personally like to see his fight with Dalby rebooked. Otherwise perhaps a fight with Daniel Rodriguez could be fun on paper.

Karolina Kowalkiewicz vs. Molly McCann - Tough loss for Karolina in this fight. Personally I think this is a good rebound fight for both her and Molly.

Denise Gomes vs. Ketlen Souza - Great win for Gomes. Personally not adverse to this fight next for both women. Winner could get a top 15 opponent.

Duško Todorović vs. Edmen Shahbazyan - Very much a must win fight for both men. If Dusko loses this one, he'd be cut for sure.

Mansur Abdul-Malik vs. Andre Petroski - I was impressed with Malik and his win. I think in order to test the unbeaten standout someone like Petroski makes sense.

Luana Pinheiro - Cut - I don't see another fight coming Luana's way with that three fight win streak. With her being in the rankings though at the moment, the UFC may throw her a bone with a debutante or someone coming off a loss. So we'll see.

Gillian Robertson vs. Angela Hill - Solid showing for Robertson. I think a fight with Hill would be a good next step for Gillian and should she win that, I could see her getting in the top ten.

Cortavious Romious vs. Angel Pacheco - Rebound fight for both men coming off losses in their UFC debuts.

Gaston Bolanos vs. Cameron Smotherman - Each man is coming off a decision win. I think it's a decent next step for the pair.

Gerald Meerschaert vs. Brunno Ferreira - Both are coming off disheartening losses. I think this is a good rebound.

Reinier de Ridder vs. Abusupiyan Magomedov - Wasn't the most impressed with RDR despite the finish. I do think this is a good fight next for him to see where he stands in the division.

Neil Magny vs. Li Jingliang - Magny falls out of the rankings with this loss in my opinion. A bout with another veteran in Jingliang makes sense to me. Surprised it's not happened sooner.

Carlos Prates vs. Geoff Neal - Great win for Prates tonight to put him in the rankings. I don't think he would get the fight with JDM which he asked for but he did also call for a bout with Neal which I think is more reasonable and realistic.

Good match ups per usual and thanks for posting this! Just as a heads up, Magny has actually fought Jingliang -- this would be a rematch.

I am down for Leech vs Magny. That's a good fight to make!

Carlos Prates vs Wonderboy - It's cool to call out the boxers but I want to see him fight someone who can manage his distance
Neil Magny vs Salikhov - He's out of the rankings, let stop giving him the gatekeeper role and give him one or two veteran fights he can win

RdR vs Hermansson - I want to see him fight grapplers for the moment
GM3 vs Armen Petrosyan - We know he will never beat guys like Pyfer, RDR, Kevin Holland the UFC gives him but will beat the Stofltfus, Muradov, Deron Winn. Let's test him with a middle-of-the-pack striker, a bit like the Shahbazyan's fight

Bolanos vs Cody Gibson - Let's bring some violence
Contagious Romulus vs Steven Koslow - Let's test him with a no-name

Abdulmalik vs CL Duncan - Both have beaten Todorovic fast and CLD never fought a US wrestler, which might be a historic nemesis of the British fighters
Todorovic - Get out of your contract - He's 3-5 in the UFC, thus he will never make bank here. His Central European background could make more sense and more money in Oktagon or KSW

Robertson vs Ribas - They both beat Pinheiro but Ribas went to the decision I think (not sure). Ribas had a lot of high-level fights but now she should have to fight someone lower in the rankings
Pinheiro vs Lookbonmee - 0-3 in the last three, she has to fight someone outside the ranking. Lookbonemee is 3-0 and unranked. WTF?
Denise Gomes vs Tecia Torres - Tecia is ranked #15 at 115
Karolina K - Retires - She looked like one foot out for years

Zaleski vs Dalby - Rebook it, good fight
Scroggin vs Micallef, the Aussie who got signed in the last week of DWCS, in Sydney
Chuck Buffalo vs Billy Goff sounds like a banger
Semensburger - Cut - 0-4 in the last four is too much
Tresean Gore vs Petroski - I think they had beef in TUF. Not sure. Both have so-so beginnings in the UFC and I am not sure they are sized for MW
Trocoli - Cut - 0-2 with 2 finishes + PED suspension

Blackshear vs Ricky Simon - They lose only to good fighters but have bad records because they fought many of those guys. Let's see who rules the middle of the pack at BW
Cody Stamann - Cut - 0-3 in the last three

Mullins vs Chelsea Chandler - Let's see who misses weight
Sygula vs Montserrat Rendon

Good match ups per usual and thanks for posting this! Just as a heads up, Magny has actually fought Jingliang -- this would be a rematch.
Thank you :) That is a good catch on Magny and Leech. I honestly forgot they had fought once before. I know both are very much in similar stages of their career, so a rematch could make sense. Another couple of fights for Magny I wouldn't be against would be Zaleski or Dalby who are both veterans close to his age or perhaps he can test the cardio once and for all for Rinat.

Damn this man is not fucking around, everybody's getting cut
I will hold my hands up. I can be quite harsh with my UFC match making. While I usually go with the 3 strike policy the UFC opted before. The UFC's roster is bloated, so I can be a bit harsher in my judgements

Carlos Prates vs Gilbert Burns – As unfortunate as it may be, this is Gilbert Burns’ spot now. 3 losses in a row, gatekeeping for the likes of JDM and Brady, Burns will be used as the ‘new Magny’ for as long as he keeps strapping on the gloves. Don’t get me wrong: Gilbert Burns isn’t an easy out, and just because Prates is surging and KOing guys left, right and centre doesn’t mean Burns has lost ahead of time – but yeah, I can see this getting booked as a co-main down in Brazil or a main card fight on a PPV just because the winner keeps out smelling of roses and both are guys the UFC can easily market.

Neil Magny vs Elizeu Zaleski – Magny surely falls from the rankings now, so hopefully the days of him getting lined up against young lion after young lion are over (or at least on pause) and he starts getting relevant competition. These guys are both 37, both more than good enough to beat most rookies, but unlikely at this stage to trouble the rankings – despite Zaleski, for example, holding a win over Benoit St Denis, and drawing with Rinat Fakhretdinov, two fighters who are rankings relevant. The winner here is still probably a gatekeeper-in-chief, but I’m more than adamant Magny needs another veteran not a surging killer. He’s fought Michael Morales, Carlos Prates, Ian Machado Garry, that’s quite enough for now.

Reinier de Ridder vs Anthony Hernandez – You know, some people are probably going to hate this pick, but hear me out: RDR is the ‘big’ signing who came in and submitted GM3, a long-time UFC veteran seen as a submission specialist who has the third highest submission record in the promotion. Whatever we think of his striking and the fact he looked utterly shattered, he got the job done, got the finish, and showed he is genuinely super slick on the mat. Give him ‘Fluffy’, a man who has been submitted all and sundry with his high pressure, cardio-sapping style. RDR is a HUGE threat to Hernandez – and while Fluffy deserves a fight up the rankings, I think in terms of significance, this fight really is as meaningful as any he could take right now. Imagine holding submission wins over Rodolfo Vieira and Reinier de Ridder…

Gerald Meerschaert vs Ismail Naurdiev – Naurdiev was a puzzling signing, but he’s on the roster, he’s a very experienced fighter, and he’s coming off a win over Bruno Silva. Two middle-of-the-road fighters who will likely trade wins and losses for as long as they’re allowed, I see this as being very fair to both guys.

Gaston Bolanos vs Serhiy Sidey – The curious case of Gaston Bolanos continues with a win over Cortavious Romious, and I guess if we’re polite about Gaston’s skills, he has good snapping kicks and continues to fight like a tazmanian devil on the mat. Not my bag, though, honestly. Give him Serhiy Sidey, the Canadian who has already engaged himself in some bloody and fun scraps. I don’t think it matters too much who wins as far as the UFC are concerned, as long as the fight is fun.

Cortavious Romious vs Bernardo Sopaj – Sopaj was supposed to fight Turcios, but whatever, let’s put him against Romious pretty quickly if we can, both are 0-1 and both will want to set things right as soon as they can.

Gillian Robertson vs Loopy Godinez – Not only does it work perfectly for the rankings putting the #13 (presumably she leapfrogs Luana) on a win streak against the #11 on a losing streak, but also, FINALLY Godinez might have a chance to shine. This feels like a step down from Virna and Dern, while obviously still ticking the ‘grappling specialist’ box. Come to think of it, maybe it’s tougher than I’m thinking, but either way, a very fair fight and Godinez really needs to remind everyone why she started getting some hype in the first place.

Luana Pinheiro vs Jaqueline Amorim – Luana is on a 3-fight skid now and looks to have hit a hard ceiling. Giver her a prospect looking to climb the ladder a bit quicker. Give her BJJ ace Jaqueline Amorim. I never had that much faith in Amorim and wasn’t too surprised when Sam Hughes derailed her, but 3 straight stoppage wins (including 2 R1SUBs) and what can you really say? Demopoulos probably has an answer for that, actually, given the glove grab, but in any event – Amorim and Luana should be a fun fight.

Mansur Abdul-Malik vs Armen Petrosyan – Mansur Abdul-Malik looked every bit the DWCS killer that he advertised as, and I have to say, his beatdown of Dusko was better than I expected. This is a guy that has huge power and while I still think he’s a little green and a little wild (I’d also like to see him fraud-checked on his cardio), yeah, I mean, so far, so good. Give him Armen Petrosyan. Armen is a very good striker, he was causing Shara problems, he beat Christian Leroy Duncan, but his issue is he’s almost a pure striker and at 34, that’s unlikely to ever change. If Malik runs through him, too, then WOW – but it might be he has to change levels and that’s a question I wouldn’t mind seeing him answer.

Dusko Todorovic – CUT! I could see them keeping Dusko around, but after 3 R1KO defeats in his last 4 fights, they’re not really doing him any favours. Dusko beats substandard opponents (all 3 of his wins are long gone), but just isn’t up to code. I’m sure there will be better Serbians or Eastern Europeans out there.

Denise Gomes vs Tecia Pennington – There are a few unranked Brazilians that would work for Denise Gomes’ next opponent, but I think after beating two 10-0 strawweights in Jauregui and Eduarda Moura, that question has been answered already. Her only defeats have come to Loma Lookboonmee and Angela Hill, and she’s since bounced back from the latter loss with wins over Moura and now Kowalkiewicz. She’s competitive enough now to fight for a ranked spot, even if there are several women in this exact spot – including Loma and a bunch of Brazilians – but I’m happy to give it to Gomes based on activity and the fact she’s powerful enough to cause seasoned opponents real problems. Give her Tecia. If Tecia wins, great, if not, it’s a bit of a passing of the torch scenario.

Karolina Kowalkiewicz vs Elise Reed – Elise Reed beat Jessica Penne last time, facing Karolina as a follow up seems like a great opportunity for her to end her WLWLWLW run and actually put a win streak together in the UFC! Reed is actually a pretty entertaining fighter, always a test for rookies and less experienced opponents, and maybe she’ll start to come into her own now. Her major disadvantage has always been she’s lacked a little bit of athleticism, and maybe she will be one to drop to atomweight if the UFC introduce that division, but for now – I like the idea of giving her the chance to piece things together. She’s been a good servant to the UFC.

Elizeu Zaleski vs Neil Magny (see above)

Zach Scroggin vs Seok Hyun-Ko – Poor Zach Scroggin… Tonight was not his night, but let’s not underestimate two things: he’s a big dude for welterweight, so the cut on short notice might have been worse than normal, and he was making his debut against a super-seasoned veteran. That said, yeah. Not good. Give him “The Korean Tyson” for his second UFC outing and he really show more than he did tonight or it’s going to be a short stint.

Charles Radtke vs Mike Malott – Radtke ran through Semelsberger tonight, and at 34, he’s going to need to start climbing the ladder sooner rather than later. I say give him 33 year old Mike Malott, 4-1 in the UFC, similar to Chuck Buffalo, he got pushed back when he fought Neil Magny (Radtke ran into Carlos Prates, tonight’s other main eventer). Both are ‘old prospects’, as it were, we’re going to have to figure out their respective ceilings pretty quick. Malott likely comes in favourite, but Radtke has fight-changing power.

Matthew Semelsberger – CUT! Sad to see him go, but at just 11-8 and with 4 straight losses, it’s all over for Semi. He’s been fun but has struggled of late.

Da’Mon Blackshear vs Douglas Silva de Andrade – The last two men to beat Cody Stamann have otherwise lost 2 of their last 3 fights, so they’re in a very similar spot in the bantamweight division right now. Da’Mon looks like an absolute monster when he wins, but can look a little overwhelmed in defeat. What will be nice for Da’Mon is that win bought him a little breathing space, but he wants to start building momentum and the double-tough, powerful Brazilian veteran would be a tremendous win – if he can pull it off!

Cody Stamann – CUT! I hate to say it, but Stamann looks to have fallen off. The UFC could potentially rebuild him after his third straight loss, but I don’t see it getting much better for the 35 year old.

Tresean Gore vs Julian Marquez – Two of the smaller record middleweights, but who have been around the UFC for quite some time (even if neither has been hugely active), these two can strike a bit, grapple a bit, and they can SQUEEZE… I think it’s a very fair fight, but Julian Marquez absolutely cannot afford to lose here. 4 L’s in a row and the Cuban Missile Crisis is gone, surely. High stakes for a fight like this always makes it more interesting.

Antonio Trocoli vs Dylan Budka – Trocoli has looked so bad in the UFC that I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets cut, but then he’s only 0-2 I guess, same as Budka, and the UFC probably wanna get Budka a win, so… line this up. It is what it is, and what it is is almost certainly a loser leaves town fight.

Melissa Mullins vs Tainara Lisboa – Lisboa hasn’t been seen in over a year, but the Brazilian is 2-0 at bantamweight, tapping Jessie Rose Clark then out-pointing fellow Brazilian Ravena Oliveira. Mullins proved too much tonight for Klaudia Sygula as she bounced back from a loss to Nora Cornolle. Lisboa I see as someone who occupies that space between the likes of entry-level talent like Sygula and Alekseeva, and the better prospects like Cornolle and Cavalcanti, so it feels right to me. Let’s get Lisboa back in there soon.

Klaudia Sygula vs Hailey Cowan – Hailey Cowan has had a frustrating time in the UFC so far. It’s coming up to 3 years since she won her contract on DWCS and all she has to show for it is an 0-1 record and 4 cancelled fights… not all of those cancellations have been Cowan’s fault, but most have been – she needs to find a way to get back in there, and I’d step it back a bit after the many disruptions. Klaudia Sygula was overmatched on the ground, but can she bounce back? She’s only 25, so she’s got time on her side, but tonight was not a good showing.

Great work @Shadey1 and @Koala !
