Who are the Dagestanis in the UFC right now?

Decided to bump this thread because I referenced it in the Bo Nickel thread. Hopefully people can suggest updates if this information has changed.

I don't think the UFC will ever sign ACA guys, while Vartanyan is Armenian and Azamat Kerefov is from Nalchik? They turned down signing both...they also weren't interested in Timur Khizriev, it's why he went to Bellator (and will probably be their FW champ soon). So I doubt they'd sign Islam Omarov, but Omarov and Bibert Tumenov could both be 145 title contenders in the UFC (Tumenov also from Nalchik). Renat Khavalov at 135lbs and Amru Magomedov at 155lbs are the two big Dagestanis that might end up UFC bound. The word was Murad Magomedov left ACA to try and get signed, top Flyweight prospect but they weren't interested. They don't want these guys, Russians would fuck the UFC bad if they recruit them like they do Brazilians and actually allowed to have 60 of them on the roster instead of like 25.

delusional
dagestan doesnt have a monopoly on good fighters, most would be abus magomedov tier canon fodder

Dagestanis are running PFLator
Rabadanov, Musaev, Ramazanov, Movlid Khaybullaev, Khizriev, Usman Nurmagomedov, Magomed Magomedov, Khasan Magomedsharipov, Ibragim Ibragimov, Abdoul Abdouraguimov, Magomed Magomedkerimov, Kuramagomedov, Mamedov

Laughable response. They certainly don't have a monopoly on talent but there's still tons of guys whod be ranked, contenders or even champs that just don't get signed. Look at PFL FW tournament winner Khizriev...they didn't sign him god knows why, dude was young, undefeated, supremely athletic, well rounded with a win over Bibert. Lightweight winner is Gadzhi Rabadonov...not the best but would still beat plenty of UFC lightweights. WW tournament winner Shamil Musaev insanely good. Bellator champ at 155 is Usman and 170 is Ramazan Kuramagomedov. There's like an overflow of elite talent out of Dagestani and to an extent the Caucasus and Central Asia the UFC ignores simply because they know that those guys are bad for business. They'll fixate on China, India, Latin America etc for growth.

I think that caucasians are not bad for business. I can t think of 2 fighters that get more views in UFC than Islam and Khamzat. It‘s just that they are close to getting the belt in 3 divisions. That‘s a bit much for the Brads and Bobs who prefer tattoed up meatheads who scream vulgarities in the mic. Only problem is that there is a severe lack of talent coming out of Murrka and they typically lose versus Caucasians. It‘s a tough spot for the UFC but in general I think that USA are being left behind in MMA.

Do you ever think that MMA will find a way to neutralize the Dage grappling ?

The UFC does not run enough shows in the Middle East to support more guys from Dagestan. That is the only real commercial value of them. A place like PFL added a bunch of them and it doesn't do anything for them.

We should not confuse Caucasions with Dagestani people. The UFC would gladly accept more people like Topuria.

America isn't lacking in talent.
