Who’s the 2nd greatest MW ever?

Romero has a strong case, that's for sure.
If it's not because the Kennedy and Jacare wins are pretty controversial..
Kennedy win wasn't really controversial, Kennedy cheated at the end of Round 2 and almost knocked Yoel out because of it. Sure, Yoel had a bit of a break on the stool, but it was the UFC cut man who shagged it by leaving too much vaseline on his face. Yoel got up and smashed Kennedy, not that controversial.

Controversy also goes both ways. He beat Costa, Adesanya and Whittaker on my cards, but they officially went the other way. I think Romero has clearly lost one fight at Middleweight, Whittaker 1, outside of that, he's arguably won every fight.

Chris Camozzi

PS: Yoel Romero is the real pick. He’s arguably never lost except the first Whittaker fight.

What’s your answer? I respect the amount of research you put into your replies
Dando is definitely top 4-5. UFC title isnt the win all be all and neither or subjective numbers ( I understand u have to go by something). Dan, like moose , fought anyone at any weight ...... and won more than he lost in those fights. I'd like to transcend prime hendo and his talent into discussion.Maybe at "185" , hes not 2nd but look what 48 year old hendo did to bisping .

If someone presents a list in which Munoz is considered top5 and Kennedy isn't considered at all...call it non-partisan data if you wish; your criteria is flawed as fuck.
By the way, for "data" we already have wikipedia
Rockhold (#9) vs Kennedy (unranked) - July 24th rankings
Weidman (#10) vs Munoz (#3) - June 27th rankings

You seem to be presenting a lot of your own opinions and bias into your thesis here.

I know where they ranked. I know the bias towards UFC in the rankings too. Or you think rankigs are God's word?

If your criteria is 100% based on what stats say...again, what's the difference between you and wikipedia?

Kennedy was a quality win, about as much if not more than Munoz. If you have actually watched them fight of course; if your only reference is what stats say, then is another story. But I dont even get the point of getting into a discussion when stats already tell you literally everything that matters for you, honestly.

The irony of this conversation is I'm probably one of the 3 people on Sherdog that actually watched every Strikeforce Challenger card in it's entirety.

Stats have to account as well, but to say someone unranked is a bigger win than someone ranked #3 is just sillyness. If perhaps Kennedy was #6 or something you could make an argument, but regardless an unranked fighter is in no way a better win than someone ranked #3.

LOL at Rockhold being a candidate for 2nd best MW.

Actually I didnt say Kennedy should count as a bigger win.

Just saying that to take a list that considers beating Munoz a top5 win and beating Tim Kennedy just as relevant as if it never happened....it's not something to present as the ultimate argument.
It's good to have as a reference but far from a defining argument.

I dont question it.
Actually because of it, Im more interested on your take on the matter, and whether if Kennedy or Munoz are relevant wins and how much, than to present a ranking in a particular time as a defining argument.

And yeah it's ironic, because that same list you posted could be posted by a guy who never watched a single fight in his life just with a quick search in the internet, literally. That's what Im saying.

Belfort if we ignore TRT (Hendo and Randy were on it too but they tend to get a pass) He murdered everyone aside from Silva in his 2nd UFC run. KO'd Lindland in Affliction before he came back

3rd is prob Moose. Arguments for Rockhold or Romero too. Hendos best work was at 205

Vitor had some bad losses later, but his wins at MW are quite impressive:
Franklin
Rumble
Bisping
Rockhold
Henderson

All finishes.

Of course, there is always that asterisk <45>, and he lost too many times to really consider him, but I just wanted to mention that nice little run.

KO'd Matt Lindland in Affliction who was no 3 at time. He was unlucky he got flash KO'd bt Silva and was a highlight reel finish, so he never got a rematch.

good question. tough answer. I don't have a clear cut answer. consideration: Hendo, Franklin, Weidman, bisping, adesanya,

Wow lot of people saying Franklin. So wins over Nate Quarry and Evan Tanner make you a goat, just because they happened in the ufc?

<YeahOKJen>

Silva ball garglers trying to prop up Anderson by saying he beat the 2nd best MW of all time twice.

Eezzzz normal.
