Whittaker vs Costa for interim title fight?

Costa and Gaethje should be nowhere near title talks in their respective divisions. Both got embarrassed in their last fights.

It’s a good fight that I would like to see and makes sense.

Both of them are brawlers who are really good matches for Izzy. He would beat both of them on the same night.

But I think their fight would be very competitive.

I think costa kills him. Costa will come in the best he’s ever been after that letdown of a performance and embarrassment he got from Izzy.

Whitaker honestly didn’t look like a killer against cannonier. Unless he’s found that motivation to train and compete his best he’s in trouble.

and Izzy is coming back down if he loses to Jan. There’s also a good likely hood he tries to defend both belts if he captures the LHW crown too. He will chase that historic accomplishment. Making this a a mere title contender fight.

No need for An interim title.pretty much ever. And if there is one. Do a mini tournament. Preferably at least 8. But even 4 would be awesome.

that’s not an absurd statement. He is ranked 5. And for some reason till is ranked 4. 3 is cannonier then costa and Whitaker. And those guys were kod by adasanya.
Marvin fought a close fight with adasanya. Wasn’t outclassed at all and had a lot of success standing up with Izzy. And he was like 23 at the time.
Just had a great performance against Hermanson. that fight would be the logical next step.

Nobody has stopped him or been close to. He’s durable and game. He’s skilled and can go for 5 rounds.

I would prefer Marvin vs costa. But everybody is going to think they can get a bs interim championship coming off a loss or two wins. One unimpressive in Whitaker’s case
