Whittaker vs Costa for interim title fight?

Not a fan of making fights between the last 2 people to lose to the champion as some kind of eliminator or interim to fight the champion again, The other up and coming prospects should get their shot first, if you lose you need to have a few more fights before you fight the champ again unless the way the fight ended warranted a rematch, Whittaker has come back and got a win costa has not. Its good fight but no way it should be for an interim title. The winner still doesn't deserver a title shot imo.

Whittaker vs someone for interim belt makes sense, but not Costa. He talked big shit before his title shot then fought like he was scared. Whittaker fought after losing and earned his way back to the top. Costa should do the same.
 
With all this said. Bet UFC wishes they still had Mousasi. With no Izzy at 185, Mousasi might be the best 185'r in the world... Maybe.

neither of these guys belong in front of the line.

both were convincingly finished and lost without ever doing much damage or being in control of the fight.

Go win a few, beat at least one KILLER and then we will see.

I’d like to see Kevin Holland vs Brunson winner and Cannonier and maybe Marvin Vettori mix it up and get a crack at the top.

Great shouts, Vettori is a guy who has lost to the champ and gone of a fantastic winning spree afterwards, he's the kind of guy who deservers a rematch over 2 guy's who got destroyed 1-2 fights ago. Kevin Holland is another guy i'd put ahead of them in the que also, Now i am not even saying Holland or Vettori beats whittker or Costa but they deserve their shot at a title over 2 guy's that have already had theirs and got destroyed.

yes that's the question : 1) rematch adesanya 2) vettori for a high risk low reward fight but Rob is a company man so why not

anyway the situation of MW is like that :

1 clear number 1 contender who redeemed his loss to the champ by beating a top contender (rob)
2 guys coming from a loss who need 2 wins to ask for a title shot (costa and jared)
1 up and comer whot needs to prove himself against top contenders (vettori)

the first TS when adesanya come back from dismantling the polish plumber is due to robert i think so rob can wait for it and let jared x costa x vettori fight for the next one.

It'a fake belt, Izzy could just come back and fight one of them. And he beat them both already.

no, holland never deserves a shot over whittaker. Even not over Costa.

number one contender : whitaker
second row : cannonier, costa and vettori a bit far away
Third row : holland or brunson/ gastelum / hall

To claim the number one spot, you need to beat at least one man of the second row (or rob if he offers you his number one spot)

Holland doest deserve to jump the queue just because he is flashy.
