Fuck the squat, nice music! Most people think Meanderthal is the worst thing they put out, but I think I like it the most.

Did you see that Floor box set that's coming out? It's a lot of music but at $250.... I'll probably pass. They also scheduled a few reunion shows but only in Florida and Atlanta so far which is pretty lame.

And just kidding... nice lifting lately.

I really, really wanted the Floor box set. I only have their self-titled and one EP. But I can't justify spending $250 on stuff that was all recorded in just random jam sessions.

Supposed to be squat day but since I maxed Friday I just did some random shit today. The first four exercises were all done in a big circuit. I attempted to push the Prowler, and made it 4 trips before I was praying for death and wishing I was never born. I have really been slacking on doing any sort of energy systems work lately. Need to get back to treadmill walking and pushing the Prowler around so I can look hot for the summer.

Solid day pressing. I'm hoping to set myself up for a 385 bench PR sometime in March, today was encouraging but the strength isn't there yet. Nice PR's in press, I was a little worried because I benched first but still got what I wanted. 7 pounds over bodyweight is also a PR ratio. Also, I'm pretty sure a long time ago I accepted a bet from Enright for a race to a 245 press.

Congrats on the Squat PR. I was wondering if I could get your thoughts on Smolov?

It accomplished what I wanted. My squat was my weakest lift, I felt like I needed to drill the form with a high volume, and am trying to gain weight up to 242 so I would be eating like a horse to support it. The PR speaks for itself. I don't think I could even entertain surviving the intense cycle without "extra supplements". By the end of those 3 weeks my elbows were screaming in pain and my right knee was clicking everytime I walked. I think in my case it made sense but newbs just looking for a quick fix are barking up the wrong tree. It's about lifting weights consistently over a long period of time which I have been doing without quarter since I started this log over 2 years ago with the goal of getting cock strong. 95% of people should just focus on getting stronger everywhere.
