Whiskey, War, Suicide, and Guns

4/28/08 - Monday - Recovery

I felt really good today, I think skipping 2/3 of Monday's workout was a good decision and will let me tear into program #30 with a good head of steam.

Elliptical: 15 min 140-150 bpm
Treadmill: 20 min 4mph @ 3% grade

Ab Wheel (from knees): BWx15x4

4/29/08 - Tuesday - Sheiko #29 Week 4 Day 2

Deadlift:
242x3
330x3
374x3x2
424x3x2 (+belt)
452x2x3
424x2x3

Bench:
155x5
185x4
225x3x2
250x3x2
270x2x2
275x2

Chins:
BWx7,6,5,6

Lunges:
132x6+6x4

Close Grip Bench:
155x5
185x5
225x5x4

Today was great. Probably a PR for deadlift volume in a session. I think I've really hit on a winning combination for my deadlift in combining deficit pulls with rack pulls. My starting position felt much better and stronger from the former, and my lockout stronger from the latter. I was tempted to pile on some more weight but thought better. I added in the lunges because things were going well and I didn't want to leave.

wow at the deadlifts!!!

I have a deficit pull and a rack pull tomorrow. But I busted a nut today so I hope I'm not to tired. I'm thinking about sneaking a crystal ice packet to school and taking it right before the workout so I can do so extra kick ass.

Do it man. Few legal supplements have been proven to boost performance more than good old caffeine.

Caffeine is so cheap. I bought 100 200mg tablets for under $4. I don't take it every day, and I don't drink coffee or pop or anything, so it seems to give me a little extra kick in the pants prior to training.

Yeah, then #30 looks pretty rough.

#30 is the toughest 4 week cycle aside from the CMS/MS prep. It has 1296 reps of the big 3 over the four weeks (29 has 964 and 31 has 1132). The CMS/MS prep cycle has 1359 and it's spread out over 4 days/week. #31 actually averages more lifts per session than the CMS/MS prep cycle

There's about a 34% increase in NBL in #30 from #29. And there are two 90% squat days, which I am looking forward to because doing working sets with 4 plates will make me feel strong like Enright.

I've got a sread sheet to make.

Oooh its does look rough.

Especially the draft становая & the Отжимания on bars....

Would it be possible to crush the caffeine pills and mix them with a glass of water/something?
I literally cannot swallow pills. Worst gag reflex in the world that gives my dentist total hell.

I've done it, but it tastes like ass. You will have an after taste in your mouth for a while.

Would this negate the affects of the caffeine is my main concern, though. I can imagine that when crushed the caffeine kicks in a lot faster.

I've had to revise a few times, but it think I can almost speak Sheiko now.

Hey we get to press legs in a simulator for #30.
I need to work on my Прессzors for the summer.
Drop and give me 50 Отжимание.

I get the same thing. Was not very funny when the nurses tried to get me to swallow some sort of a sedative before my arm surgery a couple of years back... The pill was tiny, but I couldn't for the life of me down it...

Of course, the nurses themselves looked like they both had a fair bit of experience on swallowing stuff :icon_chee
