So you condone chase's behavior?


I'm not leaving because Chase was banned. He's been banned 5 or 6 times before and has always come back with a new screen name and I never considered leaving.

This whole situation was symptomatic of the problems here that have bothered me for awhile. Two guys I have trained with have both mentioned starting logs online, and I have never told them I had a log here. Go back into the archives and look at posts from 2005-2006 on the main page and then compare them to now. It's not the place that I joined and learned from. The fact that I have to lie about it to lifters I interact with in real life is all the answer I need. In some ways the Pub was a cancer on this place because it has allowed many people who don't even lift or train the opportunity to find a niche in the community without offering anything useful. Like hunto, who I have gotten along with in the past but over the past several months has decided to hate me for some unknown reason. Being a part of a larger community with little interest in S&C means that this is going to be inevitable if unchecked.

As for the W1LD_CH1LD thing, like everything the truth is somewhere in the middle. Personally I would not have posted the pictures. Chase is never the type to hold back and I understand why some people get upset over that. Having heard the stories from both sides, she played just as much of a part in this as he did. And plenty of other forum members had active roles in this and only he took the fall. And I'm not saying that because he's my friend, because plenty of my friends do retarded shit from time to time and I am never one to not call them on it. For people outright condemning him should ask him for his side of the story. You've all met and hung out with him and know him personally, and the evidence of the situation has been destroyed so all everyone has is hearsay.

I will take a break for now, and maybe my opinion will change but for now I'm fed up with this place.

This is a good training log and I think you should continue it. Things will be back to normal shortly.


Those who are serious about training will find a way to stay focused and make sure the forum runs on point. If a few people need to be banned for the forum to become a bit more civil then so be it.

Dude I always liked you, till you started talking shit about my lifting, and seconding every shot that Chase took at me. I never had a problem with you before that.

I don't remember ever throwing shots at you. The only time I recall seconding what Chase said and you getting angry was when he made a tongue in cheek swipe at Ziltoid that was pretty funny. We know that Ziltoid doesn't really beat his kids which is why we can joke about it. As for your lifting, again I don't remember ever saying anything but if I did it's because you have not been lifting, at all, that you have told us about. Not too long ago you were getting strong. If calling you out on that makes you pissed, whatever. I did the same thing to Urban and though I didn't like upsetting him or the callous nature of my post I think he respects me for it in retrospect. Or maybe he still secretly hates my guts.
 
I actually recommended S&P to a guy last week, and then this crap went down and I was almost wishing I hadn't. I agree that it's gotten a bit ridiculous here, but I also wish you'd stick around. Maybe if we all work at it, we can get this place back to a good source of info and discussion on lifting instead of constant flame-fests and bickering.
 
As someone who doesn't bring anything but distraction to this forum, I agree with Donut about the pub. I think it's outlived it's usefulness and should probably be boarded up. Especially if posters like Fatty and Donut are thinking about leaving.
 
There are a lot of people here who sought to destroy WC for no good reason and then continued to come down on her after Chase was banned as if she had something to do with it. Lots of them left, but some of them are still around, and are no worse for wear. It just doesn't feel much like a lifting forum anymore and I'd rather keep a log at a place where people talk about lifting a bit more and don't act like they're six years old. I'm 35 and yesterday was a real eye opener for me. I remember thinking how insane it was when that guy killed himself on bodybuilding.com, but quite honestly, I think S&P has devolved to a point where we're not so far off from being on par with that mentality.

I haven't made up my mind about anything quite yet, but I'm definitely considering leaving. I'm not up for watching this sort of crap happen again.

The Dog has been blocked at work for me (again) as of last week. Coming home and reading all this crap is depressing. This drama is ridiculous. If I wanted to introduce someone who lifts to keep a log here I would be embarrassed for them to see all the shit that goes on here and associate me with it. This whole WC drama pageant is just the icing on the cake. This isn't the forum I joined and learned from 4 years ago. I've come to know and respect many of you and will stay in touch. I plan to keep a log elsewhere that everyone can see.

One thing, though: Chaos is certainly not the only one who got punished for all the stuff that went down over the past couple days.

I've never posted in the pub, mostly lurk and stick to keeping my log. But for what it's worth, I've really appreciated what folks like you (Donut) and Fatty have brought to the level of discourse and commitment. Just thought I'd throw it out there--there is a quiet contingent here that has gained from observing the camaraderie of the serious core of lifters.

All I do on Sherdog is post in my journal and lurk the strong training logs, including yours (and Chase's and Fatty's) and I hope you continue to maintain it. It has served as a source of both inspiration and information for me.

Not bad. Feeling beat up so I dropped back down and will build up over the next 6 weeks. My elbow pain after benching is starting to concern me. The elbow sleeves didn't seem to help much today. It's in my brachialis, hopefully the hammer curls do something.
 
I've has two recent massage clients who have had deep trigger points in their brachioradialis, right in the muscle belly over the elbow joint. It took me a good 20 minutes to get through the superficial tissue enough to find it, but once I did both their elbow pains were greatly relieved. You SHOULD be able to dig in there yourself and I'd bet a hundred bucks it will help.
