Working from home today because of the weather, so I took a Fatty-esque lunch break and decided to get some back work in. Still just pulling light to keep the groove until Smolov is done.
Great day. 425 was my 5rm, and I did it for 8 sets pretty easily. Put on wraps for an extra set just for kicks. Press felt strong too. Elbow felt good, moved my grip around a little and took a thumbless grip. One more day. I bought two bottles of Brooklyn Black Ops today, one will be my final Smolov workout PWO drink.
Everyone I have talked or read about has either gotten hurt in the intense cycle, or added very little to their post-base cycle PR. I just wanted to take a month to really drill the squat since it's my weakest lift before getting back to my regular training.
