Where's Ryan Hall?

While all true, Ryan Hall's MMA skillset did not show significant progress. He did won TUF by replacing another fighter in the finals (congratulations) and then spent 8 years floating around and beating old fighters.

Fighters who are serious about their careers typically demonstrate impressive advancements before reaching 40.
Hall was winning his fights, others could not adapt to him. He didn't have much reason to try to adapt himself, which is why he had a hard time finding anyone to fight him. Nobody wanted to be humiliated like the legend BJ Penn.

He had knee surgery a couple weeks ago.

He looks older since getting out of the hospital....

His grappling scheme isn't adapted for the MMA + he seemed reluctant to step out of his comfort zone and pick up new techniques and strategies. Total martial arts failure in my book.

So...

Not sure of the logic on this. Ryan’s striking has improved leaps and bounds since he’s entered the UFC. He is able to mix up the grappling and striking pretty well.

Big fan wish he could come back

Thankfully not fighting in the UFC at the moment.

Fucking hate his style. Throwing a kick, usually a spinning wheel kick up high , then just rolling all the time for leg locks. Sometimes throws a punch but very very rarely and never more then one at a time. It works on some guys but never will with higher level fighters who actually game plan.

I'm surprised he got as far as he did. Hate his smug post fight shrug too.
Was very satisfying when Topuria put him away, rewatched it a little while ago .
Commentary loves to gush over him too especially Rogan.

I love how you say this as if there is a long tested blueprint against him, when he basically only lost once and it was to the champion lmao.

Hey, I guess Volk is easy to gameplan against too.

His last fight was in December 2021, where he won against the experienced Darrick Minner.

Has only lost to Topuria, who is the current champion.

His Tapology profile shows he canceled a grappling bout a year ago.

Is he injured? Switching to full-time coaching? Pursuing a BJJ-only career to avoid CTE? Is he hanging out with Arona, Reljic, Grant and Gillespie?
He's painting his wife's toenails... anything to forget about that Topuria beating sir.

Probably done. He's 39 and was picky about who he fought.

oh yeah totally. it was so humiliating and the backlash so harsh he decided to quit... after winning another fight 5 months after the humiliating loss.

you people live in a fucking fantasy world or some shit, seriously.
seems the person living in a fantasy world is you. the ko was bad enough, but getting shit on by thousands upon thousands of people takes a toll. ask ben askren. it’s the sort of experience that makes people think “how else can i make a living?”

In the last 6 months I saw he had another surgery. The guy may aswell retire from MMA at this point. He got some good wins, but his body can't take it.
Man could teach a triangle with ridiculous detail before it was cool to teach like that.

By boxing Jake Paul? Hall is the right size, weight and lacks any actual boxing experience.
I am surprised he didn't get the call up earlier.

well hopefully he learned a thing or two from askren’s mistake. maybe challenge jake paul to a bjj match instead.

are you retarded? he fought 5 months later, and won.

you claimed he retired because he was so embarrassed, which is ridiculous, because he fought and won a few months later.

he's out because he's 39 and had like 10 surgeries in a row.

Probably getting sucked off in some random alley by MMA hipsters that still believe he can become champ one day and that everyone is ducking him.

no—you’re retarded, and gay as well.

he fought again, and he hated it, and he wanted to quit. but setting this entire subject aside, fuck you.
