Don't even think the Gomi win really counts to his WW legacy. Gomi's career ranking standard was in prides 160 division(most just considered it as a LW legacy). And Nick fought and beat him at 160. So don't really think it can be considered for his welterweight standing.

neither of those fights were remotely competitive. Surviving a fight seems like a low bar

not attacking you. Just pointing out I see it very differently

Call it surviving, but at leat survived better - and had a more offensive aproach - than large most #1 contenders did against GSP and better than most WWs would do vs Silva (even out of his prime, although balanced with the juice).

So I think this matter when it comes to place him in an overall ranking.
