Where do you place nick diaz overall

Oh Gono, BSing again? You are dissapointing me big time today

This fight is 3 yeard prior to the munoz fight:

Look at the reach disparity ¡!

Btw, Okami boxed him up despite the reach disadvantage (once again proving your claims wrong), and when he didnt want more of it and pulled guard, Okami went there, passed his guard and mounted yet another BJJ black belt.

About the rest, more ducking,

- Nothing about any other example in a long decade other than those few seconds in the Sakurai fight in 2004

- The parallel you make implies a comparison between Pat and Okami (you are clever enough to acknowledge this). Still waiting for you to provide an example of Miletich showing passing/GnP skills comparable to Okami's against a legit ground fighter

Don't be scared homie

Game over, mate. UFC´s Official Site has already corrected those BS Numbers:

http://ufcstats.com/fighter-details/acff437707625fc7

Yushin Okami RECORD: 35-12-0
THUNDER

Height: 6' 2"
Weight: 170 lbs.
Reach: 75"
STANCE: Southpaw
DOB: Jul 21, 1981

This is the Official UFC Number in 2020, why would they correct it if they indeed trusted their ol´Tales o the Tape?

About the rest:

was never submitted or even close to it in 50 pro fights at WW/MW

Rebuttal:

This was my original quote:

The parallel I was drawin´ was between Nick/Pat & Tamura/Okami.. You somehow managed to understand it was a comparison between Okami & Pat.

Since you will probably say that Gono´s biased, here´s a review on that fight:

http://the-oratory.com/mma-review-322/

"Yushin Okami vs Ryuta Sakurai:

Sakurai grabs a kimura. Okami blocks and tries to roll out of it, but Sakurai gets it locked in, and FORCES OKAMI’S ARM ALL THE WAY UP HIS BACK! Jesus, he must be double jointed, as he STILL doesn’t tap. Okami rolls through to escape again, but ends up side mounted, where Sakurai yanks on the kimura without succeeding to end the round. Good God, his arm should be broken there’but it’s just not!"

@gono btw

> So I was right. Okami was listed as 72" by many sources, including UFC. Check
Now is listed as 75"...which still place him below average in the MW division. Check
You claimed he only outstriked guys enjoying "huge reach advantage". There is no such "huge reach advantage".
Conclussion: Gonobtw spreads BS

> Gonobtw can only recall a few seconds of a fight back in 2004 - out of a decade plus and many BJJ black belts - of anyone having any sort of succes threatening Okami with subs.
He is asked to bring something else. He ducks desperately to levels unseen before
Conclussion: Gonobtw is acting as a lil bitch

> Gonobtw throws a parallelism between Pat and Okami - as he did with Tamura and Diaz - and when he is asked to technically address such comparison...he bitches out. To be fair, makes a lame attempt bringing the Patino fight, which is rebutted, and then comes back to his ducking attitude.
Conclussion: Gonobtw dissapoints big time.

Honestly, Barely top30 WW of all time. Anyone who has more than 1 ranked wins at welterweight is objectively ranked higher than him.

It's like I barely remember the guy, is little bro surpassed him, no disrespect but that's not saying much.

A true legend and one of the greatest fighters ever. War Nick.
<mma4>

diaz brothers entertaining but not in the top 10 in their weightclass.

I mean... under UFC´s rather primitive Scorin´System, you can have a flyin´ armbar/omoplata/gogoplata/rollin´armbar... attempts in the same round, and still... lose the round...

It iz what It iz.
sure, but nick knows that going into the fight and instead of, say, defending the td he complains about the rules.

Goes way deeper... He has always criticized UFC´s Scorin´System, claimin´ it favours too much them wrasslers...
His skill set is definitely not suited to that environment...

He is maybe on the lower end of top 20 welterweights all time?
Nick could have been so much more but he was his own worst enemy.

Like others have said he refused to play ball, which if he didn't could've resulted in some big money fights for him.
Wasn't he offered a fight with Lawler or they wanted him to fight Lawler when he had the belt and Nick didn't want it so he wound up fighting woodley or Condit or some shit?
That fight alone had he won would've secured a great legacy for him.

He might edge top 10 WW but definitely not even close to top 30 fighter of all time.

EDIT
Usman
GSP
Hughes
Hendricks
Woodley
Condit
Lawler
Shields
Militech
Wonderboy
Fitch
Nick

Thats 12 but hard to say who doesnt get the nod in top 10
Wtf, did you really put usman on top? Lmfao

Legend and pioneer without a doubt , hall of fame career ufc title or not
Anyone who goes the distance with gsp and anderson Silva deserve there spot on some kind of list

neither of those fights were remotely competitive. Surviving a fight seems like a low bar

not attacking you. Just pointing out I see it very differently

nick’s has a solid career. Better than at least 90% of athletes in the sport. Made some money. Was in some memorable fights.
