Media Whenever you feel compelled to mindlessly hate on Rogan

Still sounds like a godawful estimate, and I've actually defended his martial arts background here.

There are near 8 billion people on the planet and at a certain point size matters.

Joe is 5'5" on a good day, I'd take plenty of the 300 lbs+ NFL players, Rugby athletes, strongman competitors. Really anyone who can pick up Joe and slam him to the ground.

It'd be one thing if Joe was an actual pro MMA fighter but he's just a well experienced martial arts hobbyist.
I played rugby for years and there were random dudes that were extremely hard to get to the deck. They were tough as nails and huge (210-260). If any of them can punch, at all, Joe is getting KOd.

He thinks he could beat Eben Etzebeth, Malcom Marx, Jess Kriel, Taniela Tupou, Angus Bell? Especially on concrete, they would slam him into oblivion.

There's is no way that Joe takes down Jesse Kriel and he walks through Joe's roundhouse kick, picks him up and tosses him on his head.

Fuck I'd even pick Faf de Clerk or Antoine Dupont, the smallest guys, as favorites.

An entirely cynical perspective do you mind describing how you arrived at this point?

I have no reason to hate on Joe.
A good portion of Joe's podcast is on politics, medicine and world events and Joe himself is highly influential in these areas (covid, pro Trump etc). There are dozens upon dozens of better informed people on these topics, so it's not a good reflection on society that the most popular person is Rogan.

This isn't a left/right thing either. If some left leaning dingbat that knew nothing on politics but talked about it constantly had the world's #1 podcast that'd be just as bad (not sure who would be a Rogan equivalent here, maybe Amy Schumer or something).

If all people watched Rogan for was comedy, MMA and shooting the shit about big foot and aliens then who the fuck cares.

@AstralPanda i appreciate what you tried to do. Rogan gets way too much hate for silly reasons, but telling people he would beat their asses isn't the way to achieve self-reflection in others.
It's all very tongue in cheek

Comedy is often a solid vessel to speak truth

I still haven't watched even one episode!
Whats the word for that? Obstinate.

When you operate at your level of intelligence

Everything is politicized

In reality, most of the characters in that play are simply playing you like a fiddle.

You analyze the mask as if it's the man, which simply exemplifies that there's levels to this.

It can be, but in this case, I don't really see what goal you have succesfully achieved. Haven't read the entire thread though

If you and I had a discussion, I think it would be a different matter.

There is a sort of echo chamber and hive mind at play in all these discussions though

A lot of truth, a whole lot of propagandized programming.

Only so much can be done, as you know.

This thread simply embodies me having fun with a battle that likely cannot be won

So this wasn't actually an anti-Joe hate thread, just a troll thread then. Gotcha.

It can't be both. Can't say you are trying to diminish hate, when actively provoking haters into hating. You're just adding fuel to the fire.
