Multidimensionality is a perfect way to describe a multitude of public figures, because they are people who wear many masks. I simply understand that a person's true intelligence is often defined by the man behind the mask.

It's like the saying, don't judge a book by its cover. That's what most people do, essentially. What people actually know at the core, is often much different than they portray and it takes a certain mindset to pierce the superficially and surface level of things.

None of this makes someone enlightened. Frankly, it's common sense.

Most simply live their lives, never seeing past the most mundane layers of whatever discussion or person they come across. Which is why most people are bad at analysis.

Which is as true in this context as it is amongst most mma communities, who are full of people speaking absolutes with confidence, in spite of having no martial arts experience. It's a very similar sort of energy. To actually understand the sport requires us to go deep, which is also true for analyzing humans.

People are entitled to their opinions, the problem is that, whenever a polarizing figure is involved, many become enthralled in their own emotions and personal biases. As such, it's often very rare to see opinions that are balanced, objective and arrived at through reason.

Hence my dismissing of other people's perspectives, it's quite transparent when it's coming from a hateful place, rather than one of actual insight.

But yeah, I think most people just have this mentality which is very us against them, black and white. They choose a side and then fight to protect/defend that side. It's tribalism at the core and that energy is just super polarizing.

Those discussions always tend to become very toxic. When you question certain ideas or positions, it's almost like you're attacking a part of their soul, like a foundation of who they are. So, things get taken more personally than they should and it just becomes a battle of throwing shit.

When people have so much investment in their ideas and thinking, it becomes very difficult to have an honest, reasonable discussion. Any sort of challenge or question may set off that sort of cult like fervor.

Being in that sort of environment isn't a bad thing though. I think a lot can be learned of how to transmute energy, staying strong in your own foundation and avoiding getting pulled into the vortex of toxicity.

Sometimes you gotta get pulled in, to learn how to avoid it.

Going to insane lengths Is just thinking. It's considering every possible angle before speaking with confidence. There's no way to actually understand things without that level of effort put into thinking and analyzing.

Half baked ideas with very little effort, mixed with a healthy dose of emotion and personal bias Is how the vast majority of people operate. Very seldomly will you see or understand much with that approach to life, often times it becomes much easier for people to allow the thinking to be done for them.
