Social When your ego not involved how can you really be mad - Mike Tyson

What do you say , it's all about ego , and how you can manage it .
I think people with bad anger management should start with weed consumption to help them become peaceful persons.

I don't thing a drug can help. Imagine a person that can't control her ego getting stoned and paranoid?

Theres this hype with Marijuana as some healing thing and thats dangerously stupid, pot is just a drug to have fun, if you are using to sleep or be calm in your 20/30 wait till your 40 with 3 kids, house, bills.. you are fucked.

There are all sorts of things that can make someone angry that have nothing to do with ego. And weed doesn't calm everyone down. It makes some people more anxious. These are the things that worked for him and that's good, but everyone is different.

The guy went to jail, probably at some point he matured. But Mike had a terrible upbringing, all sorts of trauma, uncontrolled ego was just a way to defend himself probably.

Yeah, ego management is a good idea, a little bit of ego is a good thing..... A little and I mean little!!

Try lifting weights whilst laughing..... pretty hard to tense muscles.....

Very true but modern life is such a competition, makes it difficult. To be without ego is enlightenment, few can manage it.

Sure I can relate, I grew up rough too. Anger was my main source of strength for many years. Have to have a chip on your shoulder to survive adversity.

I agree.

A modern man's own ego is both his worst performing asset and his worst enemy.

No matter how many times you shed it through meditation, rigorous physical training, psychedelic and empathogenic drugs, etc. ... it creeps back.

The ego must have it's roots in evolutionary biology somehow. What benefit it offered to early man, I don't know. Maybe involved in risk assessment and risk taking? Fight or flight, for example? Getting angry and warring, like Iron Mike suggested?
It’s probably purely psychological. Either that, or it’s a trait that was inherited because all the cavemen with massive egos just killed all the other cavemen and their children.
It doesn’t necessarily have to serve some evolutionary purpose. Some things are the cause of certain evolution.

I get what Tyson is saying but it's not realistic because not everyone can live a monk-like existence. It's like saying when your nerves is not involved you won't feel any pain.

recommending weed for ego balance and control is terrible advice. So they’ll be all hippy while high but then irritable and cranky when not. Unless they become habitual smokers, but that actually isn’t doing anything for controlling your ego.
