As someone with a massive ego way I see is it depends on what state your in it. In an isolated situation turning the cheek because of the consequences aren't worth it is easy. But if you've taken sustained disrespect for an extended period of time that equation changes.
And yeah IMO weed not only doesn't work but gave me panic attacks. Like I felt like the world was ending(i mean it is but you know what I mean). These were legal edibles(that i bought in vegas) and my previous experiences with weed hadn't been like that but sharing my perspective.
as with probably everything , balance is the key, and individual approach.
For your personality and physical body characteristics , obviously smaller amounts would help to calm you down without seeing the world end comming in the next seconds.
So , you can't just take some edibles or do a bong and you are good to go : )
Consider :
* should you take indica, sativa, or hybrid
* consumption method (joint, blunt , eddible ... )
* amount to consume
and of course , set and settings .
Where are you , what do you need to do that day , etc...
You are trying to make you environment suitable for you weed moments.
You can't just 'take' some weed and go to an interview for a job , or eat too much eddibles and welcome your family visiting you.
Experience will be yeah weed is not helpful.
If you eat 1kg of chocolate in an hour , experience will be shitty.
