In JDS's defense...
Try to get motivated to fight a rematch against a guy who you KO'd in 64 seconds.

Word. Cain is the closest thing to Fedor right now.
Cain executed his game plan perfectly and neutralized JDS's biggest weapon. He put constant forward pressure and smothered JDS not allowing him to strike the whole fight, and JDS could do very little in the clinch to create space. I think JDS is much better than what he showed last night, but that one overhand right in the 1st round took him out of the fight and he never recovered. Props to Cain, his performance was scary last night.
Cain could get some advice from Shogun and Little Nog on secrets to defeat Overeem.
What the fuck is this shit?
To truly reign in the HW division, you must be well-rounded. It's a fact and last night proved it. You cannot be a specialist and expect to dominate HW. Fedor is the perfect example of it. He had great striking, submissions, grappling, and cardio. That's why he was so untouchable for all those years, he had way more tools than anyone else at HW.
Last night's fight actually reminded me a lot of Fedor/Cro Cop in the sense that Cain beat the most feared striker at HW standing and managed to grapple-grind him to a dominant decision win.
Big fan of JDS and Cain though, really hope their next fight is as shocking as their last two.
Not sure what you're getting at...Cain is far less well rounded than JDS.
reem is the most feared striker in hw.

Not according to Werdum or Bigfoot.
ask bigfoot after reem smahes him. and the werdum fight again. that fight was crap, right. still you cant deny that reem is the k1 hw champ and the only ufc hw who can fight k1 anytime. put jds in there, he will get blasted out of the ring.
If u are Judging JDS from his worst performance, judge Reem's striking from the Kharitonov fight!
Jds just didn't respect cain's stand up enough, next time they fight he doesn't let Cain hit him as much as he did in r1, stuffs cain's tds again and ko's him.
Also this isn't early 2000's, it's more than their "skills", it wasn't cain's wrestling or striking that did it for him, it was his pace and aggression not allowing jds to get into his groove and get off his offence.
Overeem will have the UFC HW belt in 2013 and he will keep it for a very long time. Cain doesnt have what it takes to beat Overeem.
The truth is there is no Fedor-like top fighter anymore who can strike, have a good top control GnP and have a submission game. Barnett and BigFoot are probably the closest but their skills are not good enough to get to the top.
i judge him from every performance. jds in ultrashape wouldnt be able to fight in k1. thats just a fact.
if you watch him striking with rua, rua was hitting from all angles easily. in a real fight with hw strikers in k1... no way he gets to the decision.
That was the old and small Overeem. The guy has packed on at least 70-80 lbs of pure muscle in the last few years.
The current guy is literally a monster now.
