When GSP beat Hendricks :

He only wanted VADA testing against Hendricks and Hendricks declined - "Hendricks was on steroids"
GSP refuses USADA against Condit - With you logic he's on steroids too then

I've caught another GSP hypocrite
That guy keeps spewing lies and continues to get wrecked lol

Yeah, don't read anything I wrote, I take the Hater Road.
You are just outing yourself as yet another troll.

Fedor is the only one in the same convo has GSP. I'd say that GSP's record is much better, but you can argue for Fedor as the GOAT, no problems there.

I'm pleased to see that you're a fan of Nunes too. Again, you can argue with here (yet again, GSP's record is >>> Nunes), but what she did in WMMA is crazy impressive. I have her in my top 10, as of now. Beating Cyborg on top of cleaning the 135 lbs division is badass.

I have Mighty Mouse between #3 and #5, with Khabib and DC. Yet again, what's weighting against him is his strenght of schedule.

Anderoid and Jones are disqualified for being cheaters, it's simple as that. I'd have Jones as the GOAT if not of his cheating ways. GSP's record > Jones, but the way Jones did it is much more impressive. However, he's a fucking cheater, who fled tough competition after he had to fight clean. So he can go fuck himself. Silva crushed cans, sucked before the UFC and mostly sucked in his later days too. No respect for him.

Greatest wins of GSP: in terms of pure ranking: Hughes, Shields and Penn I'd say.
Hughes was either the MMA GOAT or 2nd behind only Fedor at this point. Whatever you think of him, it was his ranking.
Shields is a top 20 fighter of all time, at the very least, and again, even if you don't like the way he fought, he still has a victory over Dan Henderson aka "Best victory of Silva).
Penn was also a all-time great.
Bisping was a pretty dope (he went up and win a title) and he finished the dude, fair and square. Something Silva couldn't do.

3 essential moments:
- Winning the title from Hughes, which was the passing of the torch, and the beginning of GSP's legacy (with a small hiccup in Serra's form)
- The masterful and complete domination of perennial contender Jon Fitch
- The GOAT retire on top after finishing Bisping and winning a second divisionnal title

That was easy

much hespect to this post. I do not agree with much of it but this was clearly a civilized discourse and I much appreciate that considering its usually vitriol and literal hate thrown at myself and the other anti gsp legacy posters here on sherdog.

I agree about Sheilds he is supremely underrated in the pantheon of the sport. He had some huge wins none bigger than Hendo.
The Penn stuff is a bit jaded to me because I truly believe BJ was robbed in the first one and by the time they squared off again bj was a lw on his way down to fw eventually. BJ had no business fighting at ww but then again thats why I rooted for him.
Finishing 40 year old bisping isnt something gsp fans should advertise because the counter to that is, well why didnt he defend. It just seems he was terrified of Luke, CHirs, Yoel, Knuckes....
Its unfair to discard anderson and bones' legacy. how many of their opponents were juiced too? We dont know and the truth is that the sauce doesnt make you a better fighter. I think Bones is an absolute POS human being but hes the greatest of the them all because of his dominance.
Anderson dazzled us against the sup par comp on most nights, georges left us in a coma against dan hardy, alves, sheilds, diaz and rounds 3-5 of the condit fight. That has to count.

Again great post mate you have earned my hespect. Looking forward to disagreeing with you like this, not like thunderpuss and some of the other gsp kvltists.

He didn't defended the MW, agree. But he still won it, against a tough opponent (Bisping almost only lost against proven cheaters)
However, he did defended his WW title a whole bunch of times.
To be faire, I'd give the GOAT title to GSP even if he hadn't won the MW title. For me, it's just the icing on the cake, the cherry on top.

For Silva/Jones: Maybe so. But they were caught. So there's no shadow of a doubt in their cases. And they sere caught multiple time too.
So there's that. Again, if it wasn't for the cheating, I'd proabably put Jones as The GOAT or equal to GSP. What he did was mighty impressive, but he cheated. IMO, you can't win if you go against the rules. And you can have a missteps, but both Silva and Jones fucked up way too much.

For the coma thing: can't disagree with Hardy. It was, IMO, easely his worst fight. But was it worst than Silva/Leites and Silva/Maia? I'd say no. But still, it was pretty terrible, and GSP should have smoked him. Shields fight was terribad too, but to be fair, GSP got blindsided by a couple of eyes poke. I personnaly liked the Alves fight and the Diaz fight (because I don't like Nick Diaz)

I have no problems with people who don't like GSP. I have a problem with the trolls and the "Anti-GSP" thing. You can class him 4th or 5th all time all you want IMO (someone who likes KOs/TKOs and doesn't mind the full blown cheating could have him behind Jones and Silva), but some posters here are ridiculous. So against shit throwers, you throw shit. But I'm always down to discussion. I find it much more interesting.

When you tear 2 ACL’s into your mid 30’s 28 fights in, with a style built on a powerful double leg, and being a explosive athlete only a fool would claim this should have little to no impact.

Or a couch dweller tossing beer cans at laptop screens..

Excuses.

Many football, hockey, soccer, basketball players, wrestlers and MMA fighters get both ACLs done and
don't go around whining.

Whining? When did he whine about it? He came back and kicked ass.

By the way Anderson Silva broke his leg. Why didn’t he come back stronger and better than ever? What the fuck was the problem? I guess he was too busy whining about it.

By the way start naming the MMA athletes that had both ACL’s completely reconstructed and competed at an all-time championship level? I’ll wait?

If he’s from Canada I’m Tiger Woods..

So, you know how physically active I am, you know my nationality.

What else? Spare me the time wasted in self-knowledge, just explain to me
who and what I am.

Thanks buddy!

Conor fought with a torn ACL and did his best work after the reconstruction.

Thiago Santos tore ACL, MCL, PCL on two knees against JONES and he is back.

Stop making a big deal out of it. It makes you look silly.

So, Silva lives rent free inside you head?

1 torn ACL with an offense that doesn’t rely on athletic explosive wrestling. Try again.

Came back and lost LOL! Oh man this is just too fucking easy. It’s fun though.

I don’t understand? He broke his leg. Leg injuries apparently are a good thing according to you. So why didn’t he come back better than ever? Help me out?
