1. He can still use the "Rhonda Rousey card" (Rousey has 3,4 million followers). As long as he has her he can gain/reach many potential ppv buyers or/and TV-viewers.

2. HW division will lose more of the known fighters then they will able to sign/promote the coming years, the division is not Stacked!

3. He is controversial and entertaining to watch, If you doubt this go and watch:

If Travis wanted go in a "BAD-guy" role in the purpose to get people to hate him it would be said and done.

4. There is significant room for improvement since he is still with one of the least talanted coaches in the mma-game: Edmond Tarverdyan. For the last camp he used other trainers and looked much better then the last 3 fights where Tarverdyan coached him

I'll bet you most people would choose another path to the top then to face any of those monsters, Travis is not known to be duckin people, which is a credential Werdum, Rothwell & Overeem can use, all 3 have a history of duckin top ranked fighters

Cain Velasquez has a record of being inactive because of injury, the probability of this happening again is large, the UFC will not promote Cain to become a champ no more, to massive of a risk for a pull-out.

To be fair, Travis Browne is a stat padder for potential champions in the division. Jessica Eyes best loss to date is Miesha Tate, if that makes any sense. 9/10 of her opponents won't ever be championship material.

Gatekeeper does not require a title shot. It only requires that you've fought with many of the top contenders & lost... but you continually win against the lower competition. It's someone who hoverz around the middle to end of the top 10... but strugglez to get into & maintain a top 5 position. There are several gatekeepers in any division... & those beyond the gate continually keep them in their place while those below him also keep him hovering above them.

Black Beast Beat a gatekeeper (3 now actually) & so now he proceeds beyond the gate to the upper part of the division. imo

Since when did being a gatekeeper mean you have to have fought for a title? Browne's a gatekeeper because beating him means you're top ten, losing to him means you're not. He's the gatekeeper for the top ten of the division.
