So what do you guys think? Is this the time in history when America was "great" and if so then for who? Do you guys think it was great for minorities, women, and lgbt peoples?

This whole line of thought really rubs me the wrong way. Basically Bernie doesn't even talk about the 40's-70's in America because of this idea that women and minorities got such a rough deal.

Instead he props up Scandinavia as the example, who just stole their ideas from 40's-70's America.

What people who make this argument tend to forget, is that Women fought and earned their economic dependence during this time. Black America, fought and won the civil rights movement during this time.

Not only was this era the golden era of the American middle class, but it was the golden era of the equality movement before the entitled bastardized 3rd and 4th wave feminism, and critical race theorists made me embarrassed to be for equality.
