Our GDP on current price is 50% more than the 2nd ranked economy on Earth.

Our colleges are the best in the world. The best engineers, scientists, and doctors are in America.

So gays can marry and that matters how? Maybe stop living in a bubble and being a bigot.

Not literally dying but sometimes I feel like I'm dead inside bleh o_O. I know things for us can only get better tho and honestly I believe they will.

yes, the wages have become stagnant for decades and unions arent as strong to make sure americans didnt have to work two or three jobs.

Diet and exercise - they eat less processed foods and walk way more. Better health care - but i am surprise their doctors dont die young - averaging 80-100 hr work weeks for 120k a year..

Our colleges aren't a modern product. Our top colleges were all around in the "golden era" we've been discussing.

I don't know how it matters that gays can marry now. Read the thread, idiot. That was my point exactly. These things aren't improvements in our world wide standing. No one cares about that outside the US.

I'm not a Trump supporter. I folded on this election a while ago and will wait 4 years for the next hand to be dealt.

I think Trump winning would be fun for its comedic value. Aside from that, I can't think of it as any better or worse than 4 years of Clinton mediocrity.

I have no real opinion on those things in terms of this conversation. I don't think they really matter in how the rest of the civilized world views us.

I've always supported gay rights. I enjoy a good racist joke as much as the next guy but I hate no one based on race. Women's liberation was so far before my time that I couldn't really form an opinion. I don't think anyone here could. I have no issue with women in the workplace or women voting. Its not a thing for me. I can see an argument being made for women as homemakers I suppose, but not as a rule.

No, people being fat and not exercising is a real concern. If we had less obese people but worked just as long, our life expectancy would increase and be among the best in the world (excluding a few freak nations with homogeneous populations that probably have high life expectancies partially due to genetic factors, like the Japanese).
