Movies Whats your Top 5 underrated films?

James Woods fresh out of prison decided to run a boxing scam with Oliver Platt and Louis Gosset Jr tagging along. This is the best movie youve never heard of. Got a bit of everyhting. Some comedy, some crime drama, some con man stuff. Just a great movie full of great actors and Oliver Platt absolutely Platts every scene he's in.

Thats all I got. This is basically my all time "Top Underrated film". Most people havent heard of it and it gets decent but not stellar scores from outlets. It's fucking great.
Such a good movie

Torque is an American classic. Imagine if Michael Bay had made a motorcycle version of The Fast and the Furious in the early to mid 2000s.

I've decided to take those thread on and watch all the movies in it that I've never seen. I'm gonna rate them and hold these ratings against the people suggesting them. Starting tonight with the Night Flier, suggested by @Zer.

1. I, Robot. I loved this. I know Will "Smithed" it up, but the look and feel was awesome.
2. Ready, Player, One. This movie had a cool premise, tons of nostalgia, and Spielberg directing. No one really talks about it.
3. Blade Runner 2049. Awesome Sci Fi that is better than the original imo.
4. Matinee (1993)--Did well in reviews but not many people saw it.
5. The Village--It has become cool to pick apart M. Night films. I know they aren't for everyone, but he is as close to Alfred Hitchcock as we have today and makes fun films. This is not perfect but has an amazing cast and a great creepy tone and vibe.

I loved Matinee as a kid and still like it now.

My main movies no one talks about

Tron Legacy (love the score too)

Rivers Edge--just a wild movie

And I'll say Alita: Battle Angel is a movie that seems to be overlooked specifically only by people I know.

Me and my friends loved River's Edge.

"Food eater!"

That makes me laugh every time

Keanu Reeves, Crispin Glover and Dennis Hopper in the same movie should be enough weird to make anyone give it a shot. I think it was actually Ione Sky's first movie

1. Over The Edge (1979)

2. Out of the Blue (1980)

3. Ladies and Gentlemen the Fabulous Stains (1982)

4. Suburbia (1983)

5. Eat the Rich (1987)

6. Masked And Anonymous (2003)

7. Short Cuts (1993)

8. Slacker (1991)

9. Jack the Bear (1993)

10. Sing Street (2016)

Jesus @Zer was this some kind of prank? The Night Flier is fucking dogshit lmao.

There's a scene where he's landing his plane and he has a moustache and then he gets out and he doesn't have moustache any more. They couldn't convince the pilot to shave his moustache?!

There's also a scene right at the beginning where a boom mic drops into the shot.

I only got through half of it last night because I fell asleep. It better get good in the second half.

Super fun low budget Army vs Werewolves movie. One of those movies that does more than it should with its completely non existent finances.

Also, the best last words ever uttered are contained in this film.

All full movies on YT except the first. Watch them all and any who want to tell me about it, tag me

So anyone remember this thread?

Do you avoid watching movies that are rated 5 or lower on IMDB?

I'd like to point out that already 5 pages deep in a thread asking specifically what people's top underrated films are, the below is the only movie mentioned with a sub-5.0 IMDb rating.
Devil Inside - 4.2 IMDB/ should be around 6.8-7.0 imo. Above average for the 2000's horror genre, and yet still, I can understand why no one liked it

I'm a big fan of animation and the rotoscope stuff from the 70s and 80s is some of my favorites. While the obvious comparison and inspiration being Star Wars, it does a really good job of world-building, tone, and overall concept, touching on themes of religion, AI, definition of life/consciousness, and Plato's cave. Anyone who has seen the movie will.likely chickle at the tone of the poster.

These are two of my faves. Saw both in theaters.
