Whats Your Stance?

i find it hilarious people watch guys like Roy Jones Jr. or Floyd Mayweather Jr. and think the whole leaving ur hands down stance is a "strategic" stance they can do too. Those guys get away w/ it cuz they're so fast and skilled they can get their punches off and back quick enough to avoid a hit. Anyone one else is just gonna get dropped, period. Nasseem Hamed learned that the hard way when he faced Marco Antonio Barrera, who just whooped up on him. There are such tactics like rolling your shoulder by letting your lead arm drop a little, but whenever u drop those hands ur gambling, simple as that.

Orthodox, hands high, and slightly sloppy (because I need to practice it more)

i stand orthodox. you best keep yer hands up, you never know when you'll come across a power puncher.

For boxing, Orthodox with hands at high guard. I have never been fast enough to do the dangling-left-hand thing like Floyd or De La Hoya.

Frankly, most of the guys I used to see doing it in the gym aren't fast enough to pull it off, either - they just do it to look cool. :D
