I think all I have left for my is the stock, forend, buffer, and a set of irons unless I want to get nitpicky on things like the takedown pins.

Gettin' close. :)

I'd strongly consider buying sooner rather than later due to the political climate and impending elections. Nitpicky has me going on three years of trying to build two AR's and only having one done. Just sayin'.

Taco Bell was from Wednesday. It's hot. Should have just used the sriracha I had. Taco Bell sauce has no heat.

Not sure for me the Sriracha flavor would pair. I go Marie Sharp's for general purpose.

I burned through my bottle of Cholula** green (not hot by any standard but damn tasty) so I had to make due with taco bell hot.

For posterity

I know but I just got the Weatherby and I am moving on Sunday so I have to hold off for a little bit.

Shit, I started shooting my old ass reloaded 100 times 45ACP ammo through these Springfield XDs and now all my cases are slitt'n like mofos! Must be the loose chamber in those things.

Reckon it's time to buy new used brass:

Maybe some more powder coated lead bullets too.

Have you tried or researched any of the new fancy Ducta-Bright 7a nickel plated brass?

I guess the old nickel stuff wasn't very good until this particular plating was made.

I'd be curious if anyone has done reloading longevity stuff with it.

I held a Daniel Defense AR15 at an outdoor show recently. I really liked the there grips and stock especially the copper color one. I don't need new furniture, but I might have to pick a kit up if they ever go on sale.

Never tried those it that I'm aware.

The chamber on my 1911 was cut really tight. That support is what held my old brass together for reload after reload over the years I'm sure.

Soon as I started shooting them outa sloppy chambers, the years or work hardening, age and pressure started coming out in the wash.

As expensive as powder, primers, are I'll buy the cheapest regular decent brass I can.

How tacky was the grip? I am getting an Ergo for my next AR but am really curious about how the DD grips feel.

I didn't find them to be super tacky. I only held it with my bare hand so I don't know how it feels with gloves on. The one thing I noticed were the grips seem to be a bit bigger than standard AR grips. That and their different shape made them fit my hand better.
