I need to go through my parts bin but I'm pretty sure I have everything else

Well I just spent probably over an hour looking for a slr gas block. I knew I had an extra and for some reason it wasn't in my build or spare parts boxes. It was in the bottom back corner of one of my safes, I have no idea how it got there.

Anyone else ever misplace shit and spend a bunch of time looking for it.

Ordered everything for my last stripped lower....then ordered everything else. Damn sbr build snowballed again. I need to stop building these things. This one is getting topped with scalarworks irons and an aimpoint m5 in a scalarworks mount.

Daniel defense, geissele, lantac, Odin works, magpul, Knights Armament, Timney, sprinco, cmmg, psa, B5 systems, scalarworks, aimpoint....now comes the wait for everything to come in.

Happened to me yesterday with some Glock mags. Bought 10 of 'em recently and was pretty sure they were in an ammo can. They weren't. Looked high and low for like 30-40 minutes. Found the box they arrived in but didn't find the mags. Figure I'll run across 'em eventually.

I'm honestly unsure why I want so many builds. The second I'm done building one I'm already thinking about another. I need to stop as well. Or I need to start doing Aero budget builds.

I understand. This one had no purpose.....I bought the psa Virginia sic semper tyrannis lower over a year ago just because I live in Virginia and part of the proceeds went to Virginia gun rights organization vcdl.

A few days ago I decided to just throw a little something together.....well that ended up being a good amount of cash. Even a "budget" build to me means nothing. A stripped "budget" lower ends up being a pretty ridiculous build. I just can help myself.

Not sure what void this is supposed to fill...other than a fun gun I didn't really need it. But........im still excited to put it all together. I guess that's the addiction. My plans to keep it iron sights lasted about 12 minutes. $850 in optics on the way. I need help. Pray for me.

Now looking at a razor gen iii.....although I don't need it. Also can't stop eyeing sig p320 x compact rxp.

I actually had a backorder that probably would have been filled in a week or 2 on the gen 3 1-10. I canceled it after starting my 6.5 creedmoor build. After spending north of 5k on it I was looking at the back order of $1800 on the razor and decided against it. Plus I knew I was going to complete my 300 blk Radian which would probably be another $800-1000. I'll still likely get it at some point but I've spent a lot on guns, ammo and accessories this year. I need to stop.

I also bought the P320 Legion and different slides and grip modules. It's going to be just like AR's with building different set ups lol.

We definitely do. Gun builders anonymous, I relapsed again. It's been 2 days since I've spent $1000+ on gun parts.

Haha yup that's why I don't currently own any cheap uppers haha. Honestly I could probably do a "cheap" aero builders set that comes with a nice cerakote. I know there are plenty of quality parts that don't cost a ton. Having said that I always want to use forward control design parts, vltor A5 or jp scs buffer set ups with a nice trigger in everything. You can buy like 5 cheap lpk minus fcg for the price of forward controls design parts. Shit you can probably buy cheap ass complete lowers for the price of forward controls guts.

Yeah part of me regrets canceling that gen 3 order but whatever. I'll get it later.

That's basically what I did with my safe and the gas block. I actually mocked myself as I was opening it, oh let's waste time not finding it in here. Sure as shit there it was in the bottom left corner and I still have no idea why/how it got there. I've misplaced parts into the wrong box before but not lost a part like that.

I looked in some spots three fucking times rather than open this box.

And yeah, I still don't recall putting them there. With a gun to my head I'd have stated confidently the box contained pmags.

The cheapest I was able to build was a tad under $900. Magpul furniture and sights. Regular safety instead of the usual BAD-ASS. Daniel Defense barrel that was a nice deal on sale.

I got an alright price on an m92 the other day. I went home and put 100 rounds through it. It's very fun to shoot. Putting a flash suppressor on it is really high on the priority list, though. I shot it when it was dim outside and it was like a camera flash going off on my face.

For my next purchase I'm looking at a windham AR-308 that a coworker is selling. If any of you have experience with this model, I'd love some insight. It looks like this:

I understand. I think I'm just going to give my sister my cheapo 10.3" upper. I don't want it and know she will enjoy it. I just have to build it how I want or I will never be happy with it. I just got used to better iron sights, triggers, optics, etc. I spent $1,300 on just those 3 items for this build. And I am truly going to attempt to stay the hell away from any ar builds for a while.

I'm not super familiar with Windham's current offerings but they used to make bushmaster rifles and it is said the windham built rifles were much better than the new bushmaster rifles. Better tolerances and qc. You can search reviews and issues on their 308 AR's and see what you come up with.

Pre covid these were going for about $1275-1400 online.

Unless I'm looking completely the wrong thing, that is an $800+ suppressor. That's more than I spent on the m92. I do want to reduce muzzle flash and noise, but I'm not interested in spending that much on what is essentially an inexpensive fun gun.

I understand, I'm just a fan of suppressors haha. They make quite a few thread adapters for it to use on a bunch of stuff.

Gotcha. I'm probably just going to get the cnc warriors 4 piece brake. It seems to do a great job suppressing flash on the videos I've seen and reviews say it does a good job directing the noise downrange

Does yours have a brace or do you intend on using one or potentially doing a e-form 1 sbr?
