I'd give a slight edge to Harris, but the polls could be wrong in either side's favor. On the one hand, Trump out performed his polls in 2016 and 2020. On the other hand, the dems outperformed polls in 2022, and there's been a surge in new voter registrations among demographic groups that are likely to go for Harris (especially women of color), and that likely isn't reflected in the polls.

Also, the Israel situation is a huge albatross around the neck of Harris' campaign, and the worse it gets, the more it'll cut into her support. Netanyahu, of course, knows this and, given that he really wants Trump to win, he has every motive to escalate the conflict (that and the fact that the war is the only thing keeping him in office).

An escalation of the Israeli-Hamas would not bode well for Harris.

But the one thing that can hurt a sitting president (or in this case VP) the most is a worsening economy right before the election.

Personally, i am infected with the 24 hour news cycle from america, therefore i can't offer any solid prediction. I still have faith that enough people in this country have enough sense left to realize it would be a bad idea to put a convicted criminal who tried to overthrow the last presidential election back in the White House.

That's what I was thinking when I bet against him to win but then I didn't think they'd be foolish enough to elect him in 2016 either. It kinda blows my mind that the race is even close after everything that transpired since 2020.
