Social whats your favorite gun

Between the two, it's close. However, the T/C Compass line had some silly prices for a while with rebates. They were as low as $189 in 30.06. My local Walmart was closing them out for $150 and you could stack them with the rebate. When I noticed this, I was cleaning out their closeout Colt 6920s and M885 bulk packs. No mas.

Ya, mine came with a nice Vortex scope for free and that was the real decider between the two.

Do you have any expirence in rebluing or doing finishes? The last time I went to get my rifle done I was charged $250 for a matte black finish. Want to make sure I didn’t get ripped off.

What type of rifle? Did it require disassembly? What kind of prep did they do?

Remington 700 my hunting rifle. It was in pretty rough shape. It was done right, bolt disassembly..ect. It came out great. Over 200 just seems a bit much to me.

Seems reasonable. I would have figured 200+ baseline. If it was pitted and they really went over it, yeah. Usually the cheaper prices are from old timers that really don't know current prices (they're usually hard to deal with), shops that don't handle their chemicals accordingly, or people doing them out of their garage. It's a fair price form a shop.

Yeah it was a proper shop. Thanks for the info.

I know it's tiny but my favorite handgun is the Glock 26 Gen 5 9mm. I had one back in Arizona & I loved it. It's compact, light & easy to carry without being conspicuous ( even though I never did get around to actually carrying mine ).

My favorite revolver was my S & W Airweight .38 special. My wife had one that matched it & when we went to the range she absolutely kicked my ass with her's. I couldn't hit the broadside of a barn compared to her. But that's because her father was a huge gun enthusiast & collector so he took her shooting from the time she was a little girl.

It's about 2-3 bucks a shot these days. Worst was this chick I worked with at a Best Buy. She was an Angelina Jolie fanatic and mentioned how she wanted a Desert Eagle. Jokingly, I mentioned the one we had at the shop. She asked where the shop was. I told her not to buy the damn thing. Next time I go into the shop, my boss tells me how he sold it to some chick that knew me. Eric was a person that only told you something once. He told her not to, then let her make her own decision. She maxed a card and got a payday loan to finance the rest. She never shot the thing and sold it back to the shop. My boss gave her more that what he would have typically bought it for, but she still hated my ass for her foolish decision.

We owned a beautiful Desert Eagle for about a year after my father-in-law died & left his collection to my wife & me. The thought of ever firing that thing intimidated the hell out of me but my wife did it back when she was in college. Her dad stood behind her when she did it though in case she got knocked on her ass but I guess she didn't. She did say her arm was sore the following day though.

FN p90. I think all us gun nuts have had weapons that made an impression on us from shows or movies we watched. Whether it be Han Solos blaster or Don Johnson's Bren Ten. For me it was Stargate SG-1, which frequently showcased the p90. I've always wanted a real one, as the civvy one with the 16 inch barrel looks like shit.
