What's the point of a calzone?

Calzones are more for cheese lovers. They dont have sauce, and they always have ricotta cheese. It might also have mozzarella and other cheeses, but it always has ricotta.

I used to love eating calzone. But being overweight made me give up eating this wonderful dish. In the early days, it seemed to me that no other food existed. But over time, I started reading a lot of cooking magazines, books, and blogs to know what I could eat that would be delicious and healthy. Thanks to EatDelights, I learned that beet juice, is not only delicious but also healthy. I also learned about how you can combine different foods that I thought were not compatible at all. I hope that at this rate I can quickly get rid of the extra pounds and be able to try my favorite calzones again.

My pizza shops use Mozza cheese and sauce and allow up to 5 toppings for $9.

I just say Pepperoni, Pepperoni, Bacon, Bacon, Bacon and I get this fat fucking 16 inch Pizza's worth of toppings stuffed into 9 inches of bread, but i guess maybe its just a Panzerotti lol

By the time I am at the halfway point, the bottom usually explodes with pent up grease

It's the pita pocket. The pita pocket prevents it from dripping.

The pita pocket.

I recently went to an Italian restaurant owned by a woman from Italy and thought I'd have a calzone since it's been years since I had one.

I asked if they can make one and the lady said it's just a matter of folding the pizza. It was good but I'm thinking a pizza would've been better. It's basically a pizza but not as good. Having the topping cooked inside the dough makes it inherenly not as good as it's gooey and stays too hot to eat for awhile. The other stuff was good and it was a legit Italian place though.

Why did Italians make calzones when they have the superior pizza?
It really depends on the recipe. Sometimes calzones (or similar types of folded sandwiches) are pretty good.

Calzones generally start with Ricotta and Mozzerella cheese, then items of choice added - but if tomato sauce is added it becomes a Stromboli.

It’s so you fat fucking fat asses can roll up the pizza and get more pizza in your fat fucking asses at one time

My local pizza shop makes a good one. I would post their instagrams pics but I think it violates the doxxing rules here. The calzone is the size of a persons arm.
I don't think so. It's just a public food place. You aren't doxxing anyone.
