But did he really, was it really a debate? Or was it a WWE dramatic infomercial to his 19 and 20 year old fans?
Look at the facts about this event...
Cenk is an emotional guy who is better suited debating Islam not the US economy. Shapiro had many of his arguments challenged and Shapiro did nothing to actually win the debate. Bringing up roads as if that is the only social service that taxes pay for to benefit businesses is amateur at best. Cenk brought up roads as one example of what taxes are used for that help businesses operate. Any one with a brain knows roads, along with police, fire districts, water districts, infrastructure, building districts, etc are exactly what helps business bring their products to consumers safely and it is a large portion of taxation. Shapiro just regurgitated a stat that roads only make up a tiny percent of spending and acts like that tiny number means nothing to businesses bottom line so they shouldn't need to be taxed. His stat about roads meant nothing in context and the rightwing audience just cheered along because they hear some quick tongue reply that sounds smart and ignorantly assume it means he "wins the debate". Cenk was telling the audience to Google shit because they were so dumb hedidn't have time to explain it.
Most real debates don't happen in front of a bunch of rightwing low information fans who cheer each time their super hero spits out a stat. And let's be clear, " my wife is a doctor " is not proof of anything. I still have no idea why people think that being married to a young inexperienced female doctor makes all his arguments about healthcare factual or valid? It doesnt! Cenk would win a peer graded debate about religion in a professional structure, easily.
Why do you think Shapiro won't debate Harris, even when Harris has offered to allow Ben to edit out the parts he wants before they air it?
