Movies What's the biggest 'Wow moment' that happened to you while watching a movie?

Ive seen quite a few movies in 3-D, but none that blew me away like "Gravity". I tell people that is a movie that you truly need to see in 3D to experience.

In Top Gun: Maverick. When Mav had been let go and the pilots were hopeless about their mission and then Mav steals a jet and does the obstacle course in under the time limit, I was legit on the edge of my seat for that.
Good one re:Gravity. I saw it in the theatres and didn‘t expect anything coming in. It completely blew my mind.

Oh yeah I'd like to add The Passion of the Christ.

Never seen so many men openly weeping for this film. Never seen it before or since.
I usually skip cultural movies like Titanic and Avatar. I've never watched passion because of all the hype. Is it still worth a watch?

I once did shrooms and was watchin Game of Thrones, and I was so high that when the Wight-Dragon flew by, my head followed it as if i was watchin it in real life.

Then it took down the wall.

Oh and when young Laurence Fishburne dies and they listen to a recording of his mother, right as it happened, is one of the most heart breaking shits ive ever seen.

That one kills me man.

What is wrong with you bro?

This one befuddled me. I couldnt believe they did this shit. One of the ballsiest endings of a movie ever. I had a friend tell me he seen this when he was little and he couldnt accept that was the ending, and the real ending had to be hidden somewhere lmao

I'm very contrarian. I hate pop culture, I don't watch the big "you have to see it" movies. I also never watched top gun and obviously the sequel.
I watch a lot of older movies and I was getting into going to the movie theater for a couple years before covid but they never reopened. I have a kid so now I just watch movies streaming
I also grew up with a stepmom that hated me, I was kept to my room and allowed to read until I got my license basically. I was given the novelisation of the Michael Keaton Batman and beaten for sneaking behind her back to watch the movie. Having a stepmom isn't as much fun as porn suggests.

Tldr I'm lucky I'm as "normal" as I am

Linda Blair in the Exorcist with the Crucifix
The upside down crawl shit is fucked up too

but the most disturbing part in the movie for me, is when Father Merrin tells Karras to get out, to compose himself.

He comes back in and sees Merrin dead on the floor, and Regan is sitting at the egde of the bed and just giggles. That is some FUCKED UP SHIT mayne.

The whole movie has some holy fuckin shit moments.

Nothing will ever top this. I saw it on opening night nobody in the audience had a clue.

I would say that as well but word of mouth got around so it was not so unexpected kind of like going to see Rocky 4 knowing Apollo dies .

When Hector walked into Harry's and ordered three T66 turbos, with NOS, and a Motec system exhaust.

Damn, I feel like I have several but can't remember them right now.

I was just a little kid when I watched The Usual Suspects but I believe I had a wow moment at the scene in the end when he walks away and stops limping etc

This is the only one I can think of.

I was lucky enough to go in unaware on opening night (starwars fans in the audience were literally sobbing from shock)... not so lucky with rocky 4 though.
