I hate to make this correction, but The Empire Strikes Back didn't have a plot-twist, it was a surprise.

The difference between twists and surprises, are clues.

There was no clues of the twist before the twist was revealed, so it was a surprise.

The 6th Sense, and most options in the poll, had numerous clues throughout the film before the twist was revealed.
