Gus just dropped out injured for his dec osp fight. If the timetable for return isn't a long one he'd be a good option. Both are struggling with confidence in themselves and their body now. And there's some sort of story to be had out of both being former title challengers who some thought should have been given victories over then champion jones.

He still had a very successful career compared to most, no shame in calling it quits after you start getting KO’d like that.

Sadly, most guys in his position would try to keep going. At one point after he beat Jon he was probably thinking he would go on to have a long successful career as a fighter, and then be able to retire. I think it’s very hard for a guy who felt like that to give it up and get a normal job, but he should.
