Whats going on in Chicago?

I want to read your study but can't. He wants to know who I am.

Equal concerns.
Maybe you shouldn't brag about supposedly writing papers on Sherdog?
Nothing is stopping you from googling the CDC gun research study. Let me guess though, search engines are "blocked" for you too.

South of the Sahara, before contact with either Arabs or whites, there was no written language, nobody had figured out the wheel, nobody had domesticated an animal, no calendars, no mechanical devices, no 2 -story buildings

This was in the 1500s for fuck's sake.

You will hear nothing from Obama and the liberal media about Chicago and the violence there. But if a thug from Ferguson attacks a store clerk and a cop and gets shot, Obama will hold press conference and it's all over the national media. Because it must have been racism.

Obama started his career in Chicago so I believe here cares more about what's going on there personally than you could ever fake on the internet.

If he does, then he should open press conferences for the black on black murders that happen in Chicago every week. But he doesn't. He grabs the mic only when a white or a cop kills a black.

I think he grabs a mic when there is a significant amount of unrest from any event.

Where are the protests for Chicago? Why don't you start the movement if you care so deeply?

I've helped start a movement on Sherdog.

Take it further. I think you're just being disingenuous.

You don't really care, you just want to blame Obama for something... something he worked incredibly personally in the past to improve, unlike you.

I don't want to know who you are, where you live, and what you do for a living. Kinko's employee? Truck Driver? Attorney for the Cochran Law Firm? I don't care who you are, and your sentence structure isn't enough to convince me that you're anybody other than some random internet stranger like everyone else. You claim to have authored papers then show all of the credibility of a Disposed Nigerian Prince needing our bank account info. If you had simply stated: Here is a paper that I had a hand in writing, this is my background, and posted a link you'd have credibility. But you don't. You're a random guy posting on the internet like the rest of us.

I am a random guy on the internet.

Don't believe for a second I'm like you, though.

all BLM fault. Police are afraid to go in and lay down the law because their career and lives will be ruined like the hero that shot that punk Michael Brown.

Another reason we need stop and frisk. All this shot ends in 17 days. DADDY IS MAGA

This is, frankly, an absurd and impossible position to either defend or attack:
  1. Guns aren't the problem.
  2. Name another country with so many guns.
  3. America has more gun-related problems than any other country.
  4. No other country has so many guns.
  5. Guns aren't the problem?
I already posted this, but you may not have been around. Have a long, long read:

Again . . . if it were truly the wild west then why aren't more major cities exactly like Chicago?

I mean, we have soooo many guns and all. Shouldn't we each be killing someone every day will all of our guns?

Apparently we're the most violent group of people on the planet (right @Gervinho?) so if it wasn't guns it'd be something else . . .

Then why bother adding it to the thread . . . huh?

Why make an offhand comment that alludes to the absurdity of the belief that guns aren't the problem in gun violence, but they are the solution to gun violence?

To ask the question is to answer it.

Please go back through my posts from earlier in this thread. I posted links to a variety of studies that conclude: (1) gun ownership does not affect the overall crime rate; (2) gun ownership positively correlates with an increase in violent crime rate; (3) women are disproportionately affected by gun violence by men, largely their partners; and (4) the rate of violent crime involving guns in the US is 2,520% higher than the average G20 country.

So, yes, the research supports there would still be crime. However, it goes further to state there would be less violent crime and far fewer deaths without guns involved. I don't think that's in any way counter-intuitive. And I would urge you to read through those and see what you think.

And how many of those that commit these acts used a gun they could not legally have in the first place?

I'm going to bet the number is very one sided.

So again what we need is more criminal control not more gun control.
