He'd be a difficult style match up for Adesanya, simply because of his takedowns. Of course, Adesanya could stuff a takedown and put it on him and finish him. I don't think Chael ever had that mental strength where could take a serious beating if the tide turned against him a bit. After reading his book and some interviews from him, it's something that he battled with.

It could be similar to Silva-Sonnen 1 but I think it'd probably end up like Silva-Sonnen 2. Sonnen may get some success early with the takedown but once Adesanya figures his timing and gets a bit comfortable with the grappling, he catches Sonnen at some point and finishes him.

Lol, GSP has sub defense and fight IQ. Only things the Sonnen formula lacked. Shame indeed, we never got to see Silva on his back so many times he’d be mistaken as an Octagon decal.
