More and more evidence is showing up that the CA fires was started by an arsonist or arsonists rather than it being naturally occuring. It's happened before.

I"m talking about the initial fires since some other fires were obviously lit by people in LA.

I had a feeling even when this first began that the fire(s) was started by a person(s)

It's going to be interesting if it was a terrorist act or even some people burning so they could rob some expensive houses.

How many arsonists could start being arsonists when the state creates the perfect situation to be an arsonist?

Assuming it doesn't get swept under the rug, a big push to end the whole soft on crime stuff that LA does. Also, either way, the mayor is fucked. You don't let rich people's houses burn down.

Probably not very political until the arsonist is shown to related to Nancy Pelosi… (by marriage, of coarse)

She’s likely holding some options in big fire hose and asbestos underwear..

The MAGA crowd seem eager to stir up a false flag

A news report from yesterday said they had determined one particular fire was deliberately set and they already had a suspect in custody.

I haven't heard of any others. Why would there be any connection to politics? More likely a person thought he saw an opportunity to burn down their deteriorating home to get the insurance money.

Fire is one of the easiest and most destructive methods of terror imaginable. I'm quite shocked we don't see more of it with the amount of nutters running around society.

I don't know. I believe the main culprit in most of these wild fire events have been linked to people starting them, intentionally or otherwise. Flicked cigarette here, campfire out of control there. It doesn't take much.

If it's 100% arson and it's not swept under the rug, I think it will be transformative in the political world. I know this is the war room and people are dug in deep but this outcome would be incredibly bad for Democrats.

-Can't blame climate change when arson is the reason.
-if the arson(s) are illegal immigrants, homeless or on drugs, it will shine a light on policies that took funding away from the fire department and shifted to immigration, homelessness and drug addiction.

Just those two things will strip more people away from Democrats at a time when they desperately need to retain their base and Cali is a big part of their base.

Gonna take a wild guess here and say that if it’s arson people will scramble and make wild assumptions based on the age, gender, and skin color and race of the arsonist. People will jump to wild conclusions only to be proven wrong when more information comes out, and folks on both sides are going to scour the internet for any shred of evidence the arsonist voted/supported the other side.

It doesn't really matter how a fire starts.. it's the lack of ability to contain a fire that's the problem. Forest management and readiness for wildfires is pathetic.

They will sweep it under the rug if it's allies and expose it if it's enemies.

The Lytton first nations wildfire was reported to be caused by a "train" or "lightning strike ". But 2 hours prior to the Lytton wildfire, we were seeing posts that yet another church in Lytton was being burned down by activists enraged by residential schools during the height of that rage bait.

As soon as the major wildfire started, they suppressed the church burning stories and went on a social media delete spree.

It's barely been rebuilt. Trying to sue the rail company foe their insurance to helo cover it ended up also being suppressed because the rail lawyers kept bringing evidence of the church arson being the thing that started the fire, so it's been dragging on for.....3 and a half year now? Meanwhile the folks who lived there are all displaced. So basically the government is going to foot the bill, but drag their feet doing so.....

Probably because it's really hard to successfully pull off.

If I want to burn down a government building, starting the fire is easy but sprinklers will turn on right away and firefighters (or people inside with fire extinguishers) will put it down right away before significant damage can take place.

It also seems like an extremely difficult thing to prove.

You'd need something like video footage of some guy with a gas canister pouring shit on a pile of leaves. And in some big ass forest, that's gonna be real tough.

Suspect was released on bail because they didn't have enough evidence to charge him with arson.
