What vitamin or supplements actually worked for you?

psyllium husk easy way to get most of my fiber in daily without having to eat tons of beans or pears. I like both but its easy to just drink a glass of that. I can eat 40 gramms of fibre without adding hundreds of calories to my intake. Though its probably 50-50 as i get about 20 from husk and 20 from other food. Its the only supplement i take if you can call it that since its natural.

Great bowels but my toilet hates me.

For me popcorn or Belvita cookies worked. I noticed after starting to drink Low Sodium V8 late at night and chasing it with water filled in the can to rinse it with, the doo doo comes out smooth without resistance and most of the time, barely anything to wipe.

Popcorn has good amount of fiber but its not ideal due to being so high in calories. Popcorn is between 330-390 kcal per 100gramm depending which popcorn you use and the oil or butter isnt even figured in. I like popcorn as a snack but cant eat too much. Pears, Raspberry and Cabbage and other veggies are pretty good.

What is this low sodium V8? Some kind of drink?
See the Campbell's soup website. V8 is vegetable juice, possibly used in Bloody Mary, I dunno. The regular version has too much sodium. the Low Sodium version has less sodium, but significantly more potassium which is good for blood pressure. I tried to seek out foods to regularly eat that had significant amount of potassium and Low Sodium V8 is one of the daily ones. There's also various fruit V8, but didn't really try.

Same here. When I'm off sugar and taking Balance of Nature I have so much more energy.
People laugh at it- it really works a d helps especially if your over 50 like me but even younger would do alot of good.

creatine only proven supp to actually work IMO. got some great gummies for that.
Yes problem is the supplements that do work are really cheap and boring. Caffeine, taurine, beta alanine, fish oil, creatine, glucosamine. You can buy a month supply of most of those for less than 5 bucks. Supplement companies actually have no incentive to sell these exact compounds since the upcharge/margins are extremely low (either sell something else or propriety blend it with some other fillers)

Most of the other crap is overpriced junk. Someone mentioned Balance of Nature which is a common bunk supplement that supermarkets sell. The premise of it (according to the founder who's literally a fake doctor) is that they can condense fruits and veggies by 90% simply by sucking the water out/grinding them down. The problem with that is the daily serving size is only like 5 grams so they are only giving you 50 grams of food. A banana with a single serving of mixed veggies (combined cost of like $1) is over 200 grams. It would probably have more fiber alone by weight then what the entire serving of balance by nature has total.......

The single best supplement I've tried has been Methylene Blue. There are some Soviet era drugs that supposedly have similar effects but on average it's very safe and has quite a few benefits to do with energy. The only caveat is for folks taking SSRI type meds in which case you have to be extra cautious or it may even be contraindicated.

High Dose Melatonin is close second due to a myriad of benefits and overall safety profile.

Third would probably be micronized creatine in higher amounts.

NAD boosters can be very helpful if you're 40+. So either NAD shots or more reasonably NMN/NR. NA provides some of the benefits at a fraction of the price but it comes with some major negatives like boosting blood sugar so you have to take something else like berberine to negate it.

Ashwagandha and Bocopa Monnieri are excellent for managing stress.

Taurine is excellent for getting more dleep.

Magnesium is good.

There's also some strong research for taking AAKG/AAK-CA and glucosamine.

Taking a good multivitamin is also a good choice to prevent any deficiencies.

I use protein powders to make homemade protein balls, mix with peanut butter and maple syrup and cover in chocolate, that's about it.

Banned pre work out some time ago after getting pins and needles from one particular brand, I just use coffee now.

pistachio nuts ftw!
these little beauties have so much going for them.
mornings are glorious.

I never bothered to regulate potasium intake i just know there is some in banana.

Ive heard about that soup brand but since im from across the pond we dont have them here. They might be in the UK but not around here.
Because of high blood pressure, I looked into how much potassium is recommended per day vs. how much comes from one banana, etc. That's how I focused on the Low Sodium V8 and Campbell's heart healthy low sodium soups to get a significant chunk of potassium without overeating. I doubt I was coming anywhere close to daily recommended amounts before.

You probably have some similar foods with significant amounts.

I looked into coconut water, but all were from places that might have contaminated soil from military activity, pollution, crude lack of safety standards, etc. I tried watermelon water that wasn't cheap and tasted like almost sour/spoiled.

Potassium if I remember correctly drops in bananas the more ripe they get, it's the green ones with the most.....

High DHA fish oil, called Omega brain. I legitimately believe it gives me better memory and ability to concentrate.

No supplement ji milk only for natural strength 💪🏾🥛🐃

Tongkat ali for that test boost

Vitamin D needed by everyone for everything.

Creatine didn't do much for my gym gainz but it's now been found to also help with longevity and aging so I'll probably hop back on it.
